Does Klopp actually rate Mignolet? Or is he seen to be the best we have got? If so would you see any potential replacements? Thanks in advance!

Either way he is the number one for the league games. You could butter polish this to claim he is being slowly phased out which again is at the expense of dropped points. Someone is dumb. He will again cost us against Manchester United!

Derek Acorah? Didn't know you posted on this site.

Red, Klopp has never rated Migs which is why he signed Karius and kept Ward. He still does not rate him BUT for the life of me, cannot understand why he does not just bin him and give either Karius or Ward a full go for the season and then evaluate from there. That is the part where Klopp is responsible as this is just a heavily avoidable mess.

I think Karius and Ward should be rotated together for the rest of the season, Migs isn't good enough and never was. He signed Karius for a reason, I think he will turn out to be good but then there's ward, give them their chances.

He gave Migs a five year contract, like Lovren, and claimed he was the most intelligent GK he has worked with 😂.

The simplest answer is usually the right one. Right now klopp is playing Migs in the league because he thinks he's his best keeper.

I think he was possessed Ron.

Ron, never understood that, myself BUT ii guess he said that and did that to get Migs ready to finish the season strong as we were about to play the EL final which was a route onto the CL. He clearly did not rate him as Karius signed here that same summer and Ward was kept.

Putney, it is not that simple as Ed01 has said. Klopp prolly does not want to drop the hammer down on Migs and wants to let him down easy as not to damage his confidence, IMO. I know, I don't get it myself BUT that's all I got right now.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has made it clear that Mignolet is now number one - last year he said the same about Karius. Klopp should shut up and stop making even more of an idiot of himself.}

Doesn't he have a degree in accounting or something? Probably what he meant.

Ian Rush seemed pretty thick but he knew where the back of the net was and how to put the ball there.

Preaching to the choir on the the GK issue, Ed.

That comment about Mignolet being clearly no 1. Please point to where Klopp said that because I heard him say nothing of the sort when pressed at a presser recently.

I have with my own ears and eyes, heard and seen Klopp clearly say something very different to what's suggested above and it only happened last month.

{Ed002's Note - Clearly you don't follow the club much. The transcript of an interview he gave for the club's own website on August 10 expressly states that "It is Simon. It was a battle at the highest level in all the games in pre-season" and he went on to state that "Simon looked really stable. He was involved in all the sessions. He did not have one bad day, which is cool ...." yadda, yadda, yadda.

I have no interest in trying to find this on the website, but Liverpool FC PO made the transcript available - I am sure someone else bothered to read it and picked it up. Nice to see Klipperty use the word "cool" - showing he is hip with the kids.}

Oh clearly I don't.

Here's a quote from Klopp last month mate, enjoy.

"Why do we always think No 1, No 2, No 3 is fixed until the end of all days? I don't want to bring that in doubt, but how can you ask if he's No 1?"

{Ed002's Note - It shows what a flake the manager is then.}

You could be right and thank you for allowing my Klopp quote to go up so there's 2 sides to the situation for people to see, as you could have just left it as it was and looked like you had me lol (not saying I won or lost any argument above or elsewhere on these forums on Klopp yet because he's still on trial as such, even with me) .

This isn't about winning or losing arguments for me, it's about giving people the full story to judge for themselves.

Sometimes I wonder if it's just a cultural thing, naivety thing, or something else with Klopp. The Germans are very different to the Brits, Americans, Irish etc. culturally and it's his first job abroad, so I put it down to him being human personally.
I lived in Germany as a teen on my own for a while, they are very very different but likable.

I could be wrong, he seems like a decent guy and I like to see decent people succeed but I could be wrong on the whole thing.
I have called it wrong many times in the past, especially LFC related.

I just don't see a better replacement ready to come in. Yes Klopp has made some awful mistakes and will continue to do so but I'm an old school Liverpool supporter who don't like sacking managers unless we're in crisis which is not the case right now realistically.

Call me dumb but I am awake enough to know Liverpool is not a genuine top 4 club right now, we need stability and better personnel which it's clear that he can provide in my eyes if given the time and money.
If he'd gotten his targets in the summer we might be up near the Manchester clubs right now but it's clear to me that they'd have no interest in joining if he wasn't the coach.

Apologies for the novel.

You got to be kidding me Olrish! Liverpool not a genuine top 4 club? After all the money that has been splashed on players? Why on earth are we playing today?
He wanted a CB ie VVD he did not get him but he did not buy any other player either!
He wanted a LB and he got one, Now he doesn’t play him is his problem!
He wanted a LW and the club broke their transfer record
He wanted a midfielder. He secured one for next season and bought one paying £40 mill.
Above everything he kept all his former players at the club without offloading any major player!

You got to bring in better excuses for a man who is failing in the basics. Nothing to do with transfer. You got to beat the likes of Burnley, Newcastle and Watford without spending a penny!

If he had gotten the targets nothing would have happened dare I say? Coz he himself is average and being exposed! Give him a billion and 5 years and his defense would still concede goals!

Not kidding!
It's my opinion as a fan of 30 years.
I have seen us as the team at the top and we're nowhere near that level.

I'm not blaming or avoiding blaming Klopp or anyone for that matter.
We've gotten top 4 twice since 2009.
One of those times was with Klopp in his first full season which I actually believe was an over-achievement.

He might well turn out to be crap but he deserves a shot and if you're anyway a decent Liverpool fan you'd get behind him and stop knocking him.

"You'll never walk alone"?
If you don't get behind your manager then in my eyes you're not a true LIVERPOOL fan, I'm sorry to say and I'd be sorry for you if so because being and understanding what it is to be a true fan is what makes us unique and different to other supporters of other clubs (I mean no disrespect to anyone on that) .

That anthem stands for something, respect it, respect the old values of the club, respect the man that is trying to bring success back to your club, respect yourself and stop whining like a baby!

You gave good reasons the other day why you became a supporter. Do supporters in your eyes all whine as much as you?
Look at your profile name for goodness sake, it's a whiny, moaning name in itself.
Why didn't you put it down as "we can't stop scoring" or "we'll outscore you" when we were doing so?

You want your club to succeed, you need to remember to support not whine and moan as if you're entitled to win anything.
The way you're behaving with your whiny post, you're no better than the "library fans" who go to Anfield each week, who sit in silence until Lovren makes a mistake, then screams obscenities and insults at him.

Just try one thing, for yourself, not anyone else - try to support in a positive way for a while, it might not feel so bad.
