Just curious if anybody has a good knowledge of the GK who played for Spartak (not the replacement) . From what i saw he looked good, certainly more assured than our first and second GKs . I think there is a shortage of good GKs available at the moment but I was quite impressed by him.

Thing is, most keepers that we see against us look good because we are comparing them to the other keeper on the field.

Even that kid from Burnley looked good against us but then so did Bogdan etc. maybe instead of being good to opposition GKs we should let them know they have 20000 scousers behind them all trying to intimidate them or put their car on blocks at the very least. It’s too easy for opposing GKs at anfield. Look at how ours are treated by opponents.

That's an interesting point Jezza.

We clap the keeper when he comes into the nets at the Kop end, fair enough, but then we shouldn't be so favourable!

{Ed001's Note - it was never a problem in the past, I don't see why it should be now. There is so little atmosphere, I doubt any keeper would even notice whether the crowd are being nice or nasty!}

90% of the Gks that play against us look world class. We shoot right at them, and all that adds to their number of saves. That Spartak GK is no better than what we have.
