Great read, Ed. I like your theory of the constant GK switches maybe affecting the way the defenders were set up for the wall on the free kick. This may have led to the wall not jumping as well. Klopp needs to end this rotation nonsense at some point.

As for the goal, I don't know why Karius did not anticipate the the ball will come wall side and shuffle just two steps to the left and prolly would have saved the free kick tho I will say that there was a lot of whip and dip on the shot. Anyway, he's not the first GK to give up a soft goal and like you said, Klopp is not helping him with constantly starting and benching him.

I missed the game and only saw highlights so thanks for the review ED - judging by highlights alone I do not know how we didn't win, endless chances unconveted it seems.

{Ed001's Note - very much so mate.}

Spot on review Ed - Hendos inclination to step up aggressively and press is not a great trait unless you're playing two deep with someone to cover.

When the sides high press is at its best IMO, it was with Gini and Lallana doing the pressing higher up the pitch and Hendo just cleaning up. now however they seem to be getting past the front 2 too easily, and if Hendo steps up we leaving a gaping hole with plenty of runners to hit.

Think Can deep and Hendo further upfield makes far more sense.
