I knew i should've stopped watching when he said Kante can't pass. What a torrid, biased, selective and shocking assessment. Uses all of his best attributes as a stick to beat him with, compares him to the best ball winner in the world as if that makes him poor, and deliberately picks out all of his worst moments, and all the best moments of others to try a force the viewer into agreeing.

Shocking video. Come to expect this from Liverpool fans nowadays though. Use your own eyes for god sake. This video proves nothing other than that a few poor excuses for supporters clearly don't have a job to keep them busy in the week.

Constructive criticism

He is the reason we rely so much on Matip and Lovren to bring the ball out from the back. He has no compute to play the deeper role. Doesn't shield the defense enough not he has any ability to playmaker from the deep.

I recognise that situation about 4 minutes and 11 seconds in and it drives me insane.
He is very self conscious and lacking in confidence big time.
Not a bad player, but in my opinion, he's not quite good enough right now at least.

Looks like a video made by an amateur. Sort of unfair on Hendo but there are some points you can't ignore like bringing the ball out of defense to keep the opposition under constant pressure. Hendo's passing is a bit too safe at times and his sideways movements means Matip tends to charge out of defense to do Hendo's work for him. Someone more suited to the role would make a big difference.
Also disagree about Hendo's technique. He has a very good technique but the awareness one needs to play the DLP role unfortunately Hendo does not have.

Harry that was not constructive from the first 6 minutes i watched before turning off.

All it did was slag off Lucas and Henderson for having apparently misleading stats (because you know, winning the ball back isn't a clear cut fact in this guys head), and show Henderson's worst bits vs some of the best midfielders in Europes best bits.

So what if Hendo can't tackle like Kante, dribble like Weigl, or hit a cross field pass like N'Zonzi. Not many players can. Weigl can't tackle like Kante, N'Zonzi would fall over the ball trying a turn like Weigl does regularly etc.

I could waste a day of my life doing a video with all Henderson's best bits and make him look world class. Truth is actually in between though isn't it mate.

Henderson is a very good player. Captain of club and country. Massively rated by some of the best managers in the game and massively under rated by fans who only see what the camera wants them to. He isn't world class, but he does his job effectively most weeks.

My favourite bit was when it compared the tackles made between Kante and Henderson when Liverpool played Chelsea last season, but then left out the fact that Liverpool won that game 2-1 thanks to an absolute 30 yard screamer from Henderson 😂 biased drivel that video, from start to when i decided it was time for it to finish.

There was nothing constructive about it at all. In fact this video is pretty much all the evidence needed to prove that some fans have a hate/ smear campaign against players they don't like.

And apparently Kante is a poor passer who only plays because he is good defensively 😂 Jesus. How can you take his opinion seriously after that?! Kante is one of the best passers in the league who plays because he is probably the best midfielder in the game right now!

Henderson is not the most skilful, he doesn't have the best first touch, and he doesn't play the best line splitting passes in Europe. Yeah, he probably isn't as good as Kante. But he also is no where near as bad at any of this as this video shows. It's just a biased compilation. If you can't trust this stuff to prove someone is good, then you can't trust it to prove someone is bad. This is actually bordering on bullying in my opinion. Luckily, Hendo won't care about the opinion of some sad act living with his mum.

The nerve you have to post something like that. What an absolute s**t of a video! Proves about as much as any "x players skills/ goals" video where only positives are highlighted. I'm going to side with MK here, use your own eyes for crying out loud.

Why would you even start comparing Henderson to those players mentioned in that video? He's not that kind of midfielder at all, as his attributes lies a whole other place. The thing about Henderson is that he (and Can) is the best we currently have to be playing that deeper role, but currently our whole midfield is way too unorganized to defend properly.

When Henderson is played properly we all know what a good player he can be for us! It's been so visible in the past.

I agree he hasn't hit form yet this season - then again, how many has? Give it time or at least realize that it has nothing to do with the qualities of Henderson, but rather to do with not having a proper player for that position at the moment.

Some people have short memories. Remember how good he was when we just fell short of the title? How many on here were saying he would have made the difference if he was playing at the end of that season. He's been hampered badly with injuries. For me a fit Henderson is definitely a starter. His energy and pressing is excellent. The firing squad on here isn't long changing into the brown tongue brigade once the next motm performance or the next worldie goes in.

Too many hendo fans. i think his injuries are holding him back in many respects.
Not the player he was, that injury has set him back. he keeps it too simple for my liking, something joe allen was criticized for. He is not vocal either, too nice a captain. Could do with being utilized further up the pitch but way too many players there and all are better than him.
cant see him much suited to the defensive role and he won't score too many either. i would find it really hard to select him once we have both keita and lallana in the team next season. in fact when lallana is back i think hendo gets the drop.

I haven't watched the video as I do not need too. I already know we need to replace him with someone better in that position. I am not saying he is a bad player but he should definitely not be relied on to protect our back four and dictate play. I actually do think with his energy and leadership with Keita they would make a great partnership in front of a proper defensive midfielder next season. Just my opinion.

It's wrong! Hendo did not loose us the title. No one would have breached the triple decker bus parked by Jose. We lost coz Gerard slipped against Chelsea. Hendeson was a ball winner in that season and we had close to 90% against Chelsea. You clearly don't understand his role in the first place. He is a ball winner and that is exactly what highlighted in the video as he is not capable to play the deeper role! The deeper role requires many critical attributes which Henderson doesn't posses hence Dier plays that role for England and not Hendo!

After watching that, I agree we are wasting hendo in that deep midfield role. Can should definitely play there instead as he is not afraid to take risks because he has he ability to go past a player and pass under pressure. hendo and winaldum are perfect ball winners and I like that hendo is a very unselfish player much like lallana.

In the season we came 2nd, hendo never played deep, it was always gerrard or joe allen, while they were questioned defensively, they had the ability to create from the back and relieve pressure when on the ball.

next game I would hope to see can holding with hendo and continho in front of him. Ed001 I know youve already said can should play there, but will klopp figure this out? surely he should look at the form we had at the end of last season when hendo was missing.

I feel like klopp just sees hendo as the least creative so just sticks him further back as possible.

When a team is sitting deep it can be very hard to find the space to pass the ball through the defence and have enough room for the attacking player to pick the ball up and turn etc. There are a few things the attacking team can do to create space including inviting the defencive team to venture out and then win the ball and quickly turn it over before their defence can get organised again. Hendo Is a great ball winner who can pass so he is good at this. Another thing you can do is quickly switch the play from side to side, dragging the defence one way and the the other. The ball moves quicker than the man can and as you switch it left and right and left again you create bigger spaces in between the defence. It is these spaces that salah and mane and firmino attack and claim the glory while the guy who kept the ball and switched it, thus creating the space gets called a donkey on his teams banter page.

The boys have been below par for the last four games. It is shocking the way Hendo is being singled out but I guess he would rather deflect any blame on his team mates by taking it on his shoulders coz he is a good captain.

While you are switching the ball from left to right and back again the opposition defence (almost without thinking) slowly gets drawn out. It takes the ability to be able to hold on to the ball while under pressure and pass it accurately to be able to do this. You have to put your head up and pick a pass while opposition players are snapping at your heals. This is very very hard to do but hdndo makes it look easy.

I actually think that is a pretty fair assessment Indian Buzzer.

I think in terms if tackling, recovery, and showing players into less dangerous areas, Henderson is great when fit and on form.

He has also proven he has a sublime passing range and does have the vision to pick out movement ahead of him (though he hasn't looked great in this area this season due to Lallana and Coutinho being absent, often leaving Firmino as the only option for a line splitting pass) . Admittedly his passing quality is greatly finished when he is pressed though.

There is no doubt, Henderson does not have the skill or composure to regularly turn his way out of trouble. He isn't confident enough on the ball to do that. But neither does N'Zonzi. Weigl does, but Weigl is useless defensively hence him needing Bender alongside him most games. In fact i didn't really understand why Weigl or Kante where included in the comparison because they both play positions more similar to Wijnaldum, than Henderson. Better examples would've been Matic, Dier and Fernandinho who you will find can be just as poor on the ball as Henderson at times when put under pressure. They are far more experienced in the role though so it is still far too early to make the conparisons fairly. It just goes to show people are still struggling to understand Hendo's role when they make comparisons like that.

Kante is the best midfielder because he can do everything to an almost world class level. He is the jack of all trades king. Comparing Henderson to him is akin to comparing Mane to Messi. Of course he'll lose, but does that make him bad? No.

Henderson is also very good at shooting and crossing (from open play! ) COMPARED to other defensive midfielders. Not a key trait, but for a team which presses as high as us and demands the holding player be effective in the final third at times, still worth a mention. He is also one of the best at pressing the ball in the game. For a holding player, Henderson creates a lot of chsnces and wins the ball back much higher up than others.

Henderson isn't world class even when he isn't struggling with his heel. I can see an argument for pushing him back into a box to box role and signing a specialist holding player because when pressurised he does tend to take the easy route and go sideways or backwards. In fact that is probably what I'd prefer we do.

This video is just a joke though.

I don't need to watch it cos I have watched Hendo since he signed for LFC. But I bit and watched it. If the maker of the video compared Hendo's ability to win the ball to that of the best ball winner in world football then I really don't need to watch anymore as that just proves that this is nothing but a hit-piece by a fake LFC fan or a true LFC fan who is so bitter about Hendo.

Also, the fact that he said Kante is a poor passer and is only good defensively, takes the biscuit. What a crock of crap! Go watch the Chelsea-Arsenal game and then come back and tell me if Kante is a poor passer. Also, does he even know that Verrati is not the DM at PSG? Thiago Motta is the DM yet he compares Veratti to Hendo in terms of making more defence spitting passes? How many defence splitting passes did Masche make in the 3 seasons he was here? The guy has no clue of what he's talking about and is just trying to wind people up in a divisive way.

Hendo is not perfect and that is fine with me. He does what Klopp requires him to do and he does it well for the most part veen tho, he's struggling at the moment. I propose that people use their eyes cos BUT then, people are free to believe whatever they want.
