Hi Ed's

How do goalkeepers celebrate goals generally?

They are so far away from team mates and realistically can kick the goal post at the max or jump in the air or show with their fist.

Was thinking how lonely is that feeling when all team is with the goal scorer and they are happy but can't really express.

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - it really depends, usually they celebrate with the crowd. I have seen keepers race to join in with the hugs etc before.}

There is nothing stopping keepers running the length of the field to join in.

Interesting question.

I sit behind the goal, Migs will turn to the kop and jump up and punch his fists in the air.

Opposition keepers will do the same but not turn and face the crowd lol.

It can be a bit lonely.
I used to hug the goal post if nobody was behind my goal.
Usually the other team would send an "expert" behind our goal to talk to you throughout the game to distract you or put doubts in your head, so I'd usually run over to him and dry hump him when we scored.
We didn't usually score that many lol :)

Just tend to celebrate with a red face and their head in their hands.
