Just for one second, imagine City without Silva, De Bruyne and Aguero at the same time. Or Man United without Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Lukaku at the same time.

Now sit there and tell us all that having 3 of our best players out injured (Coutinho and Lallana) returning from injury (Mane and Coutinho), sulking (Coutinho) or suspended (Mane) has had no impact on the start to our season. If you can do that then you are just a down right liar, looking for a scapegoat to take out your anger on.

We have suffered as a result of a few individual mistakes, i admit. I refuse to join in with the boo boys so early though. You're not supporters. You are spoilt brats who want us to go and do what City, Chelsea and United have done and attempt to buy the title.

Anyway this post is not intended to be about our season, more the general issues with modern fans.

We are trying to build sustainable success. Not a team that needs gutting every 3-5 years. Our transfer record is £48m on Keita depending on which report you read. I mean Jesus Christ, Everton paid £50m for Sigurdson, City have paid £50m for about 6 different players, United have paid £200m on Lukaku and Pogba alone, Chesea have been spending £30m+ on 4 players a year since 2004. Even Arsenal have paid £40m for Sanchez, £50m for Ozil and £60m for Lacazette.

We cannot compete financially with anyone else in the top 7 except maybe Spurs. Yes, even Everton have more money than us now.

So what? They'll all keep having to sign a shed load of players every window and through crafting our own team and keeping consistency, we will be able to compete eventually without having to blow a kings ransom every year. Klopp wants to do things the right way.

He at least deserves 3 or 4 years. I thought 3 years but after hearing his comments where he said he'd win the league in 4 years, I'm prepared to give him that. If you don't have the patience, give somebody else your oar and get off the boat. Go swim over to Man Utd's boat with the £200m petrol motor on the back.

I'm so sick of this. The fans of football are becoming worse than the players. Your lack of patience and sense of entitlement is akin to a 7 year old little girl whose daddy bought her the wrong colour pony for Easter. It's actually pathetic.

Constructive criticism is fine. The absolute melt down and temper tantrums though? Not okay. "but i pay for my ticket". Oh get out of here. You're lucky if you have a ticket. I've seen 4 games in my life. Maybe you'd be willing to pay more so you can sign more expensive players? Oh no wait, you all walked out of the game when that was even suggested. That's fine, and you all stood up for what is right. But then don't moan when we aren't dining with the big boys in the transfer window because we now have to run other aspects of the club in a morally right fashion. You want your cake, but you want to eat it too. Typical bloody 21st century children. No, not children. People. Even adults nowadays want everything handed to them on a silver platter.

Jesus Christ, rant over. Good luck Ed's, you are in for one hell of a week if we don't slaughter Leicester this weekend. I need a holiday.

We could easily compete against the likes Arsenal and Spurs and we have outspend both teams from quite some time.

Relax mate, you'll always have moaners who moan for the sake of moaning on an anonymous forum.

The ones who moan, then don't give their reasons or their antidotes to find solutions are most likely supporters of other clubs here on a wind up/ immature kids/ mentally special or genuine basket cases.

If you get sucked into their waffle, you'll end up like them consumed by the utter misery in their lives.

I'm all for constructive debate and a moan when it's merited so long as you give good reason and your own ideas on how to repair the damage but a blind moaner will never see the sun shine MK.

Its about expectations MK. a fair lot of us ( me included ) expected us to fight for the league this season. But most feel now we aren't even in contention so the constant grimace.
As usual I give any team till 19 games before making any judgement. But I feel Klopp has missed a trick this transfer window and and in early season it is a bit evident that the defense is still a mess and has left Klopp flabbergasted.
What particularly annoys me is we were going all good at the start and then suddenly the attack is having a bad phase where the ball won't just go in. Couple it would non sense defending and we are left with little positives to take out of the games.
We have crashed out of contention for one cup, it is small trophy that we won't be winning and its just early season - So we are panicking.
Klopp will get it right by the 8th-9th game of the season but till its tough to watch 30 shots on goal without scoring and conceding 2 in 2.

The problem is nothing to do with those players being available or not, we are absolutely shocking in centre defence and we are flaccid and weak in midfield. Those problems haven't been addressed and we are a soft touch. Relying on the likes of Klavan leaves us vulnerable as he has no discernible qualities, he is poor in the air and poor at dealing with quick mobile forwards. Then wasting £35m on Oxlade Chamberlain in the knowledge that we are so poor in central defence and midfield just compounds that as it doesn't address the actual lack of quality that we have.

Harry we can't get near Arsenal financially. Wenger not spending the money doesn't mean it's not there when he wants to.

I know Kev I'm just getting very upset this week. It is hard enough dealing with the media and other fans exagerrating the situation. You'd think as a fan base we could stand together and protect our players; maybe even support them? 😮 We're just helping everyone else push the knife in though!

I've seen anything on here from Klopp out, to taking the armband off Henderson, and some people have even gone as far as saying Woodburn, Gomez, Arnold and Solanke should be playing with the u23's. It's nonsense. Send them back to youth football now and that will be their careers here done. It'll destroy their confidence and by the time they get another chance they'll be too old. 17-19 is the age you step up in this country. Once a player goes past that age in English football, their top flight careers are usually done because nobody will accept mistakes from 21-24 year olds. They barely accept mistakes from teenagers!

There's being a spoilt brat and there is being unhappy with the current situation. I think we are entitled to be unhappy quite frankly the past three games have been subpar, however I agree with you in the sense that people are calling for klopps head (a minority) and those who for some reason believe we should be winning every game regardless because 'we are Liverpool init'. If it looks like the lads are trying I wouldn't fault them, which was the case until we conceded, after that we just look like rabbits in the headlights. Somebody else mentioned but I've noticed myself, there was a belief of 'ah well we've conceded but we'll our score you', now it's 'oh f*ck' and we just lose it.

No issue with being upset or the like. SGred put up a brilliantly constructive post about how he thinks we should deal with this bad form. There was no panic, no over reaction. Just a calculated opinion on where we're going wrong. That's fine.

I'm not in some kind of bubble thinking everything is rosey. We are 4 games without a win. All I'm calling for is perspective and patience. The knives are out for Chamberlain after one start. That is just ridiculous. He had a bad game excluding one cross which should've been buried. But that doesn't give us the right to start berating him and moaning at Klopp for signing him. It's not like Klopp had Ox and VVD to choose from and chose Ox. He wanted both. Ox shouldn't be carrying the can for the club failing to sign all it's targets.

Klopp should to be fair, but it's also not fair to say he has no clue about the defence. He has signed Karius, Klavan, Matip, Robertson and promoted Ward, Gomez and Arnold. He knows there is an issue and he is trying to fix it. But the talent out their is limited so we have stop gaps for now. What can we do about it? Nothing. So just support the players at the club.

Call them out on bad performances. Criticise constructively. But unless it is a Mignolet like saga where we've had 5 years of mediocrity, then there really isn't justification for some of the posts i see on here.

I just want perspective and patience from people. That is all.

Don't need Klopp out we need him to work in training on tactical positioning, these guys should be staying extra hours doing the work if they really wanted to, training a few hours a day isn't enough for wht is being paid, you work everyday in football you should have a clue as to where to be on the pitch, Ward needs to be no.1, he did well last year, Gomez should be given time in the centre, we need a real CDM, our midfield is the weakest by a mile in the top 6, Eds do we have a Wenger situation where Klopp likes to think he knows better than everyone else and won't improve cdm and cb? Klop out is crazy shouting though imo.

There will always be these types though.
Best learn to skim these people's posts.

Klopp has been her 2 years. Not 25. If you want to cling onto a status we had nearly 3 decades ago, and end up like Villa, Leeds or Forrest, then sure. Keep calling for us to rip up the blueprints every 3 years to try and get instant success.

MK, can you explain why United will need the gut the side in 3 years? Since Fergie left we appointed the wrong manager twice. Moyes and LVG both wasted money on poor signings. Jose has been here 12 months, already winning two trophies I might add, and although he's downing money, unlike the other two useless managers he's spent well. De gea 26, Bailly 23, jones 25, Shaw 22, Pogba 24, Lukaku 24, Martial 21, Rashford 19, Hererra and Miki 28. Hardly over the hill is it? Average age of the side is good with a couple approaching 30 giving good balance.

Jose has put the foundations in for a very good squad for the long term. And he'll add to that. If teams want to compete at the top of the PL consistently and in Europe they need to invest. Players also want to see the club invest in top players. Will Coutinho and Mane stay long term without the club investing in top players? I highly doubt it. Footballs changed and it's near on impossible to do what Fergie did all them years ago.

stand i have been saying this all along its not fair comaparing United or city or chelsea to us. all these teams are way ahead of us on the pitch and off the pitch. we are more close to spurs or Arsenal.

Spot on, MK and Olirish. People want to moan and that's all they want to do. They moan about stuff that are obvious BUT have no viable solutions about how we can get better as a team and club. They just do it cos well, they have a right to moan. I just don't pay attention as it is not worth the headache cos all they care about is posting as much BS, OTT comments, they can muster.

Stand, comparing us with these teams who can drop 300m every window on players, is a false comparison that should not even warrant a debate. We are in the Spurs category now of spending when we need to, becoming more creative in our scouting for players who fit the way we play and bring our youth through. That is our standard now cos if we try to compete with such teams (arsenal have more money than we do BUT AW won't spend it) we will definitely go bust like we almost did hen Rafa tried it in the past. That is the reality.
