A mate of mine a city fan is constantly banging on about how good Sean dyche is saying he's one of the best managers in the league. Just wondering what other peoples opinions are. And how he would do if he got a bid club.

He'd do well at Utd, they seem to like defensive dour football.

He has done pretty well with very limited funds. When Burnley first came up they were sure favourite to get relegated. I think his players respect him. The juries out I reckon.

He will bottle at big clubs! Marco Silva looks good! One to watch for!

{Ed025's Note - i rate him as well harry..

He got his tactics spot on against us yesterday, soaked up all the pressure on the first half, limiting us to long range shots and half hearted close range shots they were easoy blocked. Second half Burnley pushed up and he got his team to press us higher up the pitch, putting pressure on our back four.

Agree with Harry, been really impressive so far.

I like Dyche and i suppose when playing against us yesterday with a comparably tiny budget its understandable he would come to defend but this is why Klopp is such a legend, compared to most of his rivals he works off a much smaller budget yet isn't happy to just park the bus against them. If anything he has assembled probably the best attacking team to watch in the league and this in turn is attracting more top players we wouldn't have had a chance of signing a couple of years ago. All this while giving youth like TAA and Woodburn a chance.

I've mentioned to colleagues and friends in conversation, I can't see why Dyche hasn't been picked by Watford or Southampton when they were looking for a manager. I think he would do well at a Mid Table side.

I hate how us Liverpool fans hate teams for playing defensively. Why shouldn't a team do that? Just because we can't defend doesn't mean others shouldn't! Marco silva has done nothing in a decent league as of yet yet dyche would bottle it at a top club? I hate the lack of trust in British managers because everybody here's a name that sounds foreign and goes mad. Not saying silva won't amount to anything but he's done nothing to suggest he's much to write home about just yet. Equally I'm not saying dyche wouldn't bottle It but he will get a bad rep because he's defensive minded and British. Burnley and Watford are on the same points, over the last five years Watford have spent far more on players than Burnley have. I think dyche does a very good job with what he has at his disposal.

Dyches is good at what he does. Same as Pulis. I don't think bigger names would respect him but most of his squad know that if they ignore him and get too big for their boots, he'd drop them and move forward and still get results. That could be our problem, plays think they are above contestation when they really shouldn't be!

He's pretty good tactically and seems to get a hell of a lot out of the players he has. He likes to play football and that is why people like him I think.

Credit where it's due.
Dyche done great getting them promoted,

When they were then relegated he stayed with them, rebuilt and got promoted again.

Sometimes maybe wholesale changes isn't the way to go.

Lamborini - I think he'd turn Watford down after they needlessly sacked him in the past.

Sean Dyche is good at what he does which is set his teams up to defend well and nullify the opponent. He is doing what he can with the means he has which is very good. Let's see what he can do when he goes to a bigger team, with tho more money, BUT ambitious in terms of style of play. That is where the test will be. However for now, he's getting it done at Burnley.

we can break down teams who sit defensively, we just lose our mentality. just like defending, we don't concentrate long enough and lose focus. we should be sticking to our guns and continue to playing the ball around the box, we can create chances, but we allow ourselves to be intimidated by the heavy numbers in the box and opt for long balls etc. we need to believe.
