Agreed leon. That's exactly what we're missing as a defencive unit. Organisation.

In 1st yr Klopp ever explained, players come to him to ask y he is not playing. He say obviously if u r not pick it means u r not gd enough. But he say he cannot tell that to the player. So it means Klopp using rotation, tactics as excuse to bench players. Going by that Henderson's days are numbered.

I disagree relax. Hendo wasn't great against seville but he had his moments. We play 3 games in 6 days so of course he rests key players for our easiest game on paper.

Henderson is not even close to be a Leader.

You're right "we can't defend" he is liverpool AND england captain because he looks good in an arm band.

Let's remember England have a lot of potential captains. Hart kane jones cahill. Hendo must be doing something right.

It always amazes me how people can claim certain players are not captain material. It's like you know them personally. If you don't, I don't know how you can make such a sweeping statement.

Carra wasn't captain and was the leader.

Gerrard wasn't a leader. He wasnt vocal. Carra was.

The captain's are the role models.

You shouldn't need an armband to encourage and lead your team. That means your not really a true leader.

Hendo is a model professional and young English player who made it when all the odds where against him. The likes of Woodburn will look up to that. That's his job and he does it.

Someone else can step up or in and be the carra the vocal person.

Personally I don't care who has that armband as I believe everyone on the pitch should be a captain by himself. I gave up on such sentiments the day Steve hunged up his boots. The only captain I know and the only captain that deserved to be called as captain. He inspired me!
England lol wouldn't cross the group stages of any tournament. Whose even bothered about them! A team that beats San Marino every 3 months!
You don't even know what it takes to be a CAPTAIN! Hendo is a nice lad not a captain in my eye!

I do find the team a little gutless at times, no never say die spirit in them, they roll over at the first sign of defeat too many times for me.
City being the most recent example, the result was probably not in question after the red but that's no excuse to completely down tools like they did, I wanna see more fight than that, try and go for a consolation goal, even 3-0 is better than 5-0.
Remember Istanbul? Dead and buried at half time but they never gave up, granted it was a cup final but standards should never drop regardless of who your playing against and no matter what's at stake.

Wow. topbuisness.

Did you actually just Wright that Stevie G was not a leader or vocal?

WTF.

It's interesting, I'm 90% sure Ed001 made the same point as topbusiness at some stage in the past season or so and didn't get that sort of stick. He even went as far to say that Carra should've had the armband.

Stevie was a 'lead by example' type of captain. Used his ability to drag the team forward and inspire his team-mates rather than his personality. The "we go again" huddle was probably the only time he did anything like that. Carra was the talker and organiser (no coincidence that Skrtel got found out as soon as Carra left) . Reina also contributed. It worked.

I captained my team as a kid. Not always but quite often. was top goal scorer one season from left wing.

I captained my Sunday league team too. Was very vocal, never gave up (even when losing 8 1! Lol) went in hard and bollox ed players who weren't trying. You have to know your team mates, some people respond better to encouragement some from criticism. It kinda heightens your emotions. When you win it feels even better being cap when you lose you feel worse.

Again another sweeping statement saying "you don't know what it's like to be captain" still got a red arm band around somewhere. Wore it on stage once with my band, over my denim jacket! Dunno why? Used to say "I was the captain of my own ship" when people asked.

Harry, you don't like Hendo so no one should care whatever you think of him as it is coming from a place full of deep bias and contempt. You always slate him regardless of his performance so your opinion of him is based on your disgust him.

Also, now that he is England and LFC capt, you now say you don't care who wears it. Had it been another player who was England and LFC capt., would you have the same opinion of not caring who wears the arm band? TB is correct regarding SG. Ed01 said he was NOT a vocal leader and was NOT vocal led by example due to his play.

I agree that we need leaders across the pitch BUT to use this argument to slate Hendo, who has the respect of his manager and team mates per Ed01, is dishonest and cowardly.
