Ed002, is your about. I remember you saying something along the lines of Klopp promising FSG the title. I'm sure I read that. If so was it in a certain timescale? All in wondering is, say Liverpool finished outside the top 4, or 4th, with no cup trophy either, would he keep his job this summer? Cheers ed.

{Ed002's Note - he promised to win it without making major changes to the team. One he got the job he said within three years.}

He'll keep his job Stand stop getting excited. Can't say the same about Borinho though with all the hundreds of millions he's blowing. I can't wait for that to go south, which it will it always does with that narcassistic buffoon.

I'm pretty sure he said in 4 seasons he would have a title ed.

I thought he said at his first interview he would win at least 1 title in the first 4 years.

You have to admire Klopps confidence and question the owners naivety at the same time.
I'm quite happy with our owners but if what you say is true then I have to question their knowledge of this business if they believed that.
Without the resources of the top 3 liverpool have next to zero chance of being champions as those top 3 do.
Why would those billionaire Glazers spend all those millions to win the league if they could do it spending less? They didn't make money being so naive.

Don't get touché ings. I couldn't care less who your manager is as long as your not winning titles. If Jose doesn't improve on last season I expect he'll be on his way. It's the way football is these days. The big clubs don't stand still. If Liverpool don't win any trophy for a 3rd year under Klopp questions will need to be asked.

Ron, you and DaRedMan are right. Some people can't wait to take a dig by exaggerating, or leaving out parts of what Klopp says. It's really getting annoying. If one is to be critical of the manager at least have the decency to be accurate with the criticism.

Stand. I don't normally respond to u lot but u at least try to make constructive comments and I cringe at some of the responses.
Jose for me is a great manager. But he would not be a title challenger without the extortionate amount of money he has spent with either Chelsea or United.
Klopp like many does not have that luxury so comparing the two is irrelevant.
If the resources is not so necessary to win. . why does Jose need such vast amounts? The only manager to have spent over a billion pounds. for me it makes him an elite harry rednapp!
Money doesn't guarantee success but I lack of money guarantees a lack of it!

I don't th8nk klopp made that promise for the job. He could cherry pick anywhere. We wanted him.

I think he has been asked and he's said it without to much depth but super confidence.

His contract length and the signing of keita says the club will back there man.

Klopp has only been manager since October 2015. He's still to complete 2 full years. I'd like to see the footage of where he said he'd win the title in 3 or 4 seasons.
Was this said publicly or in private?
Once he gets to the start of next season we'll see his real team in my opinion.
He's almost got his attack the way he wants.
Keita is coming in the summer plus another CM I would suggest.
So he then needs to try to get in defensive players.
He'll sort it.
Not saying he'll win the league in the next couple of seasons, I'm not that idiotic or arrogant but if he can keep us in the top 4 this season, we can push on to challenge at least.
If people want him sacked, it's far too early for that.
Who would you want instead?
Klopp is 100% still the right man right now.

{Ed001's Note - Klopp did tell FSG he would win the title, Ed002 is correct. That does not mean it will happen, nor that it is a promise anyone will hold him to considering the changing situation. FSG and LFC are fully behind Klopp.}

Agree with Stand here tbh. Big clubs don't stand still, they expect improvement and trophies year in year out coz that's what keeps top players at the club (and money of course) . It negates the need for an overhaul or rebuilding which our LFC has been too guilty of over the last 2 decades. By the time this season ends, it will have been nearly 3 seasons Klopp has been in charge. A league cup or FA Cup is the least we can expect right?

{Ed001's Note - why should that be the least? That is simply spoilt brat talk, expecting trophies. That is a want, a desire, never an expectation. What you should expect is progress. No club has a divine right to trophies and no fan should expect them.}

When Matip and Klaven signed, Klopp said now judge me this is my team.

Ed002, we all say things we regret? Hindsight .

{Ed002's Note - Sure, give it a few more years in transition.}

If I don't hear it with my own ears I am extremely doubtful as it's then just hearsay, that's nothing personal. I'm pretty sure it'd be the same for you guys in a personnel reversal with this.

I heard it.

He said in June 2016 after signing Mane, Karius, Matip, Klaven and Wiji.

He said, "judge me from now, this is my team, '

I remember because I thought why say it? As he had no need to set himself up,

That's a year ago last June.
It was the same time Sahko was banished to the u23s.

Pre Tapgate.

And so from "judge me from now, this is my team, ' you somehow heard "I will win this club the league title in the next 2 to 3 seasons"? Brilliant! Mate, you should be working for the M15/ M16/ FBI. Incredible! Lol!

I didn't mention anything about winning the league in 3 years,

What I should have said is,

What I heard him say was judge me now,

For me he's doing a good job,

3 losses since March isn't bad going.

And 1 of them was because of Manes sending off.
