Matip has pace, height, physique and he's good with the ball. He should really be the best defender at the club, but he's just too lax in his attitude and play.

For the goal, he's let's himself get the wrong side of Wood and he's outmuscled, so Klavan has to come over to help, leaving the space for Arfield to score.

Lovren / Klavan center back partnership is going to be thing pretty soon at the rate Matip's going.

Perhaps a few games under his belt, he'll start to cut out the mistakes. He probably reads the game better than matip and lovren. I don't know, I'm getting kind of desperate here.

He's only slow when he has to run back into position. Going forward he's fairly quick. Seems like a lazy attitude to me.

Klavan should have been thinking about the second ball, he knew that he couldn't get there. Awful defender.

The ball was for Matip to deal with but Klavan came over also, making it 2 players going for the same ball, hence leaving the centre open.

Enuff w/ the Klavan bashing for the goal as he had NOTHING to do with it. It was all Matip and ONLY Matip who screwed up as Something Red described. I know Klavan is the scapegoat for everyone BUT this targeting of players needs to end, ASAP. Matip screwed up and in fact, Migs screwed up as well as he was out of position on the first header then had to pack=pedal after the second ball hence, he could not set his feet for the Arfield shot. Had he not been out of position, he would have had time to set his feet and maybe have a better chance of saving the shot as Arfield could only place it in one area of the goal.

Bingo, i like how you try to defend our players but the reason Klavan had nothing to do with it was because he went for a ball he wasnt going to get and that left him no where for the 2nd ball. Can also didn't track the midfielder and Matip didn't do enough either.
