Hi fellow Reds

Regretfully I'm old enough to remember the glory days so am in a decent position to make comparisons to the good and the bad over the years.
This season, at times the playing style has really impressed and on times I've seen some of the best we have played for many years maybe since the late 80s. The way we can move the ball from back to front with so much speed is fantastic to watch. Interplay between the front 3 and the midfield is seamless. Of all our games we should have blown the opposition away. With Couts and Lallana coming back it can only get better. Klopp for me has been a revelation he is so positive and honest and for some pundits and fans to have a go at him I think is a little unjustified, and here's why.
Over the past 15 years every manager we have had has spent vast amount of our money on dross, we could all list 30 players and more who were second rate players we bought (Kroncamp, el zar, joe cole, etc wow) . Every year we have bought 6, 7, 8 or more players to appease the fans. No thought has been given to the future, only trying to band aid the present, then we were left with players we can't sell.
Now we have a manger who is trying to buy players that he believes will strengthen the first 11 and who can really make an impact and if he can't get the right man then he is prepared to wait (remember the Balotelli saga omg) . People are on his back about VDD, however that's who he wanted and I'm sure his second in line wasn't available. So, he has put his money in his pocket and is prepared to wait. I'm sure he knows we will get VDD in January and if not he has given himself time to look around. He knows if we had spent the extra in the Summer he would not have been match fit until at least mid-October (as Southampton are finding out) . So why not leave him get fit with his club then go for him in January ready to play.
If we get VDD, then our transfers would have been Kieta, Sala, Robertson, Ox and VDD - I'm happy with that!
Klopp I'm sure knows where our problems lie as do all the fans, but I think we should trust him and I'm sure in a very short time he will get it right.
The only thing that's letting us down is individual mistakes made by the same old faces, slowly but surely these will be moving on, just give him a little time.
We are in the Champions league for the first time in 8 years, and on times look world beaters - have patience and Klopp will get it right, I am sure

Evered.

Evered, You Beauty! Love your post and I cannot argue with anything you said. Many fans and pundits just spout out nonsense without giving any thought or context to why things are the way they are. Pretty sure had Klopp signed a CB and he started making mistakes (which every player does, btw), they would be saying, "If he could not get VVD, he should have just kept his money" blah, blah, blah you know cos, everyone is a genius after the fact, right?

You also make a good point cos if VVD came in, he still would not be match fit at this time and we would still have been stuck with the CB's we have now BUT I guess the moaners already knew that. Keep those thoughtful, intelligent posts coming, Evered. We really need some perspective on this forum and as a fan base.

Cheers Bingo, i've been following the Reds a long long time, what im seeing now is the start of a very good side that can really challenge. Ther are on a few peices of the jigsaw left. We have a better bench this year and some good youngsters coming through who need time and patience.
Klopp only needs to concentrate of the back 5 now and we will be off and running, patience is the key.

Bang on evered and good point also bingo.

Anyone calling for klopp to be ditched must be a utd fan incognito coz they're worried. It is absolutely ridiculous. Simple. The actions of dim wits. The guy has moved the club forward. Let's not forget he secured keita with a really clever little deal. The guy has lost one match. Sort your heads out.

Klopp is a good manager superred, nowhere near as good as your fans make out and we definitely aren't worried. 🤣🤣🤣.

Why on earth would we care what Man Utd fans think? I'm only interested in my club, not others.
