Cant argue with that Stand. Anyone who thinks Jose is not a great manager clearly knows very little about football. Just look at the success he has had at the clubs he has managed. I hate his football but it gets results.

Its true that Jose does do a Pulis at times but Jose is a world class coach that guarantees trophies. You lot are guaranteed trophies with Jose regardless of the length of his tenure with Man Utd.
Us LFC fans are a bit bitter about the lack of trophies under Brendan and Klopp and probably that is why belittling rival managers' achievements has become sort of a habit on the LFC page.
But remember that mancs have also the tendency to belittle Klopp's past achievements with BVB when he plucked them from obscurity. That is something Jose will never have the temperament or patience to achieve.

Jose Mourinho is a quality manager anyone that says he isn't is completely delusional.

Or they just realize he is toxic and gets canned within a few years everywhere he goes now. I grow tired of someone who deflects blame every time something goes wrong. Sure he has won a lot but I wouldn't want him anywhere near my side. He's perfect where he's at.

Quite the nerve he hit there! .
Why do you get so upset about what a liverpool supporter says about you're coach anyway? You don't go to a liverpool forum and expect them to talk about how fantastic mourinho is do you?
And people have different opinions.

Jose is a good manager, a good tactician, but a completely unproven coach in my opinion.

If you give him a team of egos or mentally struggling players, he will manage them. If you give him a poor team, he will make them hard to beat with tactical masterclasses.

However, don't ever expect him to drastically improve someone's game or put his faith in youth. If you are not good enough, he doesn't have the patience to work with you because he wants instant success. It is easy to attract the best talent at clubs like Porto, Inter, Real, Man Utd etc. He only deals with clubs with a ready made platform for success and a big wallet.

That is a skill in itself though to be fair. Lots of managers have been given fat transfer budgets and won nothing. Mourinho is like Pulis, but he is the king of the Pulis type manager. Give them any squad and they will get results. Give them money and they will spend it wisely.

Klopp on the other hand is more like Pochettino or Pep. He has no idea what to spend his money on but even if he picks up a dud, he can improve them. They all have their own philosophy that they will not differentiate from because in their mind it is how football should be played. They can't get results with any team like Mourinho. They have to build, and coach players into what they want.

Mou is the best at what he does, but it's not my cup of tea, personally.

stand i completely agree with you Jose is a great manager and for liverpool fans - why not concentrate on LFC, im pretty sure United fans don't care what Kloop is, so let Jose so his thing.

José is a modern great manager no doubt abt it.

spending money doesn't guarantee you success, or else every club would spend thinking returning investment through success.

Jose has earned those sums of spending money through he's hard work at porto and Inter. Owners fully trust him

And yes not a lot of managers can handle big players with big ego, pep and mourinho are exceptional in this field, coz you still need to fit all big ego players together and get best out of them as a team which itself is a big challenge.

Not hit a nerve at all. Just baffled. I lost here regularly to be honest I like football chat full stop. Nodoby at united is expecting us to ever play football like Barcelona did under pep. Jose likes to work with a solid defence, and then counter attack well. His madrid team got record goal and record points in la liga while there. His Chelsea teams at times have been brilliant on the eye. What he can do that I don't think many managers can is beat the best with a inferior team. Take inter and Porto winning the CL for example. By making his teams hard to beat they always have a chance. Klopp has Liverpool playing brilliant attacking football, but as Arsenal have witnessed for years now, it's not enough. Personally I'd rather win throphies than play the best football and win nothing. That's just my opinion. Some people don't like mourinho' approach. But I don't think anyone can say he's not a world class manager. His record speaks for itself.

MK, agree with some of your post. The thing is, at Chelsea, Mardid and United, the clubs demand instant success. There's not time to build a team as you suggest Klopp likes to do. You either win trophies or your out the door.
