I agree I want to see it. But could it be the 1-1-8 system he plays? I mean, all the abuse the defense got tonight- it was the fault of our attack that we drew the game. Should have been 5-2!

Its not just the players, its the system and coaching of Klopp's that is faulty. Yes the defenders are bang average but it should also be noted they were never as bad for their previous clubs.
Ed002 alluded to Klopp's 'high metal' football that he would need to temper if LFC were to challenge for trophies and Klopp has refused to learn from his mistakes.
When your full backs are asked to play so high up the pitch, the CBs especially average ones need protection by a CDM to offer better balance between attack and defence. Not only do our midfielders fail to understand when to and not to press, they fail to do their defensive duties and our CBs compound those problems by strolling around and making schoolboy mistakes.
Salah aside, the transfer window was a complete mess for us. No defensive minded midfielder, no decent CB and Klopp himself has no idea who his first choice GK is. Amateur coaching at its best.

{Ed001's Note - go back and watch the game and stop listening to Ed002 who is winding the gullibles up. Ed002 doesn't watch us play, he has no idea if Klopp's style of play is the issue or not. However, those of us that actually do watch it will have noticed that Gomez did not play high up the pitch at all. He played like an old fashioned full back, getting forward later in support, but not just charging forward willy nilly the moment we got the ball. Your moans are about something that no longer happens because Klopp has changed how he plays and learnt from his mistakes.}

Agee - Milner to play RB in the big games where experience required.

I didn't think gomes was that great tonight. And what if he proves unread? Go for the next lad from the academy? Then the next? Until we have an eight year old on the pitch? No, I think tonight showed gomes isn't the answer either. I'm not writing hin off BTW, I just feel he could do with a bit more experience at that RB position. Matip and lovren are what we have. We should have had an alternative target to vvd lined up. It was always a possibility that saints wouldn't sell. Im struggling to think of five European cbs who are worse than ours were tonight. Sorry jurgen, love you mate but come on.

{Ed001's Note - and yet you think Moreno was brilliant! I really do not get what you see. Gomez had a decent game, despite most of the time having to cover Matip's man as well as his own.}

I was not specifically talking about this game. Gomez is a CB and his natural instincts would dictate he will be a bit forlorn on the attacking side. Nothing wrong with full backs high up the pitch but where is the support for the CBs? Henderson? The guy who rarely tackles and got run over time and again in the last few games? Gini and Can don't know when to drop back or attack.
I like the way Pochetino sets up his team. He knows his full backs are average defenders so he pushes them ahead and has a CDM dropping deep to help out Vertonghen and Alderweireld allowing each defender lesser space to mop up.
Our midfield on the other hand encourages opposition forwards to run past them like ghosts and our already hapless CBs are made to look like mugs. There is no proper balance between attack and defense and its painfully obvious to see.
Oh and btw, Klopp's BVB team would run havoc and leave this LFC team for dead in a spineless heap. So clearly Klopp has compounded his own shortcomings than improve on hsi mistakes.

{Ed001's Note - how long did it take Klopp to build the Dortmund team? But then he didn't have spineless fans turn on him as soon as they possibly could there.....}

IB, some of what you post may be true but the rest? No way. Ed is right as Klopp has tempered his "heavy metal" football to an extent. Check out the last 7 games of last season and the Arsenal game where we dropped into a 4-5-1 when Arsenal had the ball, to see why that is true. Also, it took Klopp FOUR seasons for that BVB team to be as lethal as it was and signed and sold a lot of players to get there. His tenure is still in it's beginning and he was given time to get where he got to so BUT with the type of fans we have, that ain't going to happen so that part of your post is just crazy and patently false.

Poch has his flaws too as Spurs were exposed by BVB last night and he is NOT a patch on Klopp. Why? He can't even get a point against him and Klopp is undefeated vs Poch, just like he is vs Wenger in the PL. It took a red card to help Pep beat Klopp. The grass is not always greener on the other side my friend.
