Past few games iv noticed Henderson wastefully hitting passes to nobody, for a player of that stature he sure does waste a lot of ball.

He mis-hit a lot tonight. Was definitely an off game. Even the passes he made were hit too hard slightly inaccurately or behind the man killing momentum.

He will get back on it soon enough.

To be fair I really don't see what he brings to the pitch for us as he can't help our defence as there terrible and he don't create anything, he just runs.

He hasn't been on it for a couple of seasons really.
I work with a lot of non LFC fans and they think it's hilarious how he is our captain.
He's called "Sideways Hendo" in my work place.
To be fair he played a lovely ball to Moreno for Firmino's goal earlier, but didn't see much else from him all night, no leadership either.

Kev, I did not think he had a good game, either. Wiji and Can were much better but again, you can't play well all the time. We just need our midfield to be consistent as a unit cos the case of one plays well and the other does not, is not helping the team and we saw that today.

Bingo, I get you I really do but when a neutral tells you they think he's a joke you start to see things differently. It's like someone being in a bad relationship. Their mates try to tell them but they don't see it until it's too late or until they've gotten away. Henderson is okay but not good enough for a premiership winning side. Ask yourself would he get in any of the best teams in the PL. I don't think he would but he'll get in ours week after week somehow. He's average mate. Positionally woeful, passes sideways or backwards mostly. No leadership, seems like a likable guy but seems like he has no guts. Look I might be wrong but he wouldn't fill me with confidence of playing with him. When was the last time you saw him galvanise the team? Lead by example? Control a match? Kick an opposition player to let them know they'll be in for a fight in the match? Not a captain for me, squad player sure but not a captain or a starter.

Big post kev and I can't disagree with it, he's not been standout to me in any game, if anything he goes unnoticed as he just coasts through a game, This very strange how we see this and other posters seem to rate him highly.

{Ed025's Note - i have been saying it for ages G-dog and most of my friends (some season ticket holders and die hard reds) say the same, some supporters just cant see the woods for the trees mate..
