OK first of all i understand international games are not to judge a player, but OX fails to excite me at all. i am not sure if he goes about his business like this he gets any games for Liverpool.
I wish pray and hope he can do a lot more for Liverpool.
I see people talking about directness of his play but he was bloody useless for England in the games :P
We have paid a lot for him and i hope he does a Firmino and not a caroll! (price wise)

This is a Klopp masterpiece. Pace and directness I would have gone for Momo Sissokho st Spurs ( Useless obviously but would come for half the price if only headless chicken running is only what you need ) . He did not put one single cross all night yesterday.
You can't compare the signing with Firmino. Firmino was simply sensational at Hoffenheim before we brought him.

He has abilities - I think he'll do well in a system that suits his style of direct running, and Liverpool will certainly give him that. Let's just give him time to get used to Klopps system and his team mates.

I don't expect him to be a Firmino, Mane or Salah type signing in terms of impact but I do expect he'll be very effective and strengthen the overall squad.

I would have trusted GRUJIC over buying a hard core Rrunning Olympic athlete mate! You are simply pretending about Klopp system, the system demands RUNNERS!

Hard to create anything in a Gareth Southgate team. Judge him in a red shirt first.

His touch, pace, and delivery all looked good. Just have a bit of patience.

Grujic is a very different style of player - I would see him playing more of a box to box role, much like Can.

Ox I actually hope plays more as a backup to Mane and Salah as we lack pacy alternatives in those positions at the moment. Yes we have Kent and Ojo but they're young and not likely to come off the bench in a bench in a CL game to change things up, so rather see then develop another year on loan before coming back.

Ox in the midfield? I can perhaps see him playing a Lallana type role, ie. the free roaming attacking mid ahead of Hendo/ Can, but I'm yet to be convinced that's his best spot, guess we'll have to see.

Not being funny but the England players don’t seem to have as much passion for country than they do club.
Could be southgates' tactics though making the team look very bland and boring. The 2 holding midfielders are NOT allowed to move from their position which is a shame for hendo because he thrives pressing forwards, and none of the rest of the team seem to have any freedom either ;_;

Maybe it’s because i’m so used to watching the exciting football that Liverpool play though that england looked bland and boring haha.

Forgot to add to the end of my post I was basing it from the first half, and on the previous game too. I ended up falling asleep during the half time interval and missed the second half so no idea if it was any better.

I trust in OX's ability and fairly it would seem he would do well in our system, My only problem is he has not shown in at all at arsenal or england the teams he has played for. of course he has the physical attributes but i don't think he walks in to our team, so i am just saying i hope he takes his chance when it comes otherwise it will go pretty downhill for him.
In our team neither does he walk in to the midfield nor the flanks.
lets be honest here, coutinho will be integrated in the squad i believe, and he can play both in midfield and flank and next year when keita joins midfield option is out for OX so its more or less very tough for the OX. OX simply has to perform the first few chances he gets for Liverpool otherwise i don't see him fitting in our team. i don't think he or LFC can afford bedding in time.

Judge him in January guys, maybe even longer. I personally didn't want him as I don't really rate him and I think the cash should have been spent on the defence (same situation as last year really with Gini) . But now he has signed we need to support him (as I have Gini) and hope that a new challenge will bring the best out of him. At the very worst I think we maybe over paid for a good squad player, but I am am optimist and hope that Klopp sees something in him that most don't. Time will tell I guess and we should give him that.

Honestly, is it too much to ask that we give the lad a chance to play for LFC first? Good grief, the relentlessly negative posts about this lad is appalling and disgusting. This is why some of our players are never given a chance. You are slating him now b4 even his first training session and when he makes a mistake (cos he will), the knives will be out for him and then, his confidence is shattered. It was the same with Karius. Made two mistakes and the fans destroyed him YET gave Migs the benefit of the doubt whereas he had been killing us with his errors for years. My god, give the boy a chance!

Anyone watch John Barnes play for England?
He was bloody useless in a lot of England matches. Didn't mean a thing when he played at Anfield 🤝.

Only saw your comment on Barnes now after also using him as an example in a post up above, some people complain just for the sake of complaining - no point trying to shed light in their miserable lives, they see what they want to see. Like a bodybuilder with the visual/ mental illness where all they see is an anorexic in the mirror when pumping iron down the gym (can't remember the name of the illness lol) .

Body dysmorphia Kev. I only know because I suffer from the opposite 😔, I look in the mirror and see the body of an Adonis. Mrs K calls it "magic mirrors".

I didn't see your Digger comment either Kev, looks like yours was posted just before mine. Great minds and all that 👍.

Yes that's the one I think, thanks.
I don't know about the great minds mate but a little realism to the instant success blood suckers every now and again doesn't go astray. I have only been a fan for one league title win, so I'm used to us coming up short time and again (that'll bring realism if anything will) . I obviously would love us to win the league in my lifetime again but if not, there's far more to it than that. Real fans support through thick and thin like a good spouse would.
I can't understand other people's (so called fans) ridiculous behaviour towards their own players sometimes. If they're so bloody knowledgeable themselves, why don't they play or manage the club. Or go one better, do a Shankley and build up a lower club and turn it into a great club. Why can't they, because they are keyboard warriors who are absolutely clueless about most things in life, never mind a football club's runnings - playing Football Manager all day doesn't qualify anyone.
