I hope we sell Coutinho today. Tired of this nonsense of all of his sadness, grief, blah blah. He knows nothing of true hardship if he thinks what he is going through now is great anguish. Part of me wants to sell him. Part of me wants to let him rot in the reserves till he makes amends for what he's done. He's not fit to wear the shirt.

Regardless, I'll be glad when all this is over. Just ready to support the team again. Bring on Citeh.

I disagree. Although I want to see Coutinho go, it would be better for LFC to show that they are not some institution which gives a player a very lucrative 5 year contract and then he pisses all over it refusing to play because he wants his way.

No, screw him, he is not going to get his way and that might just be a lesson for the next player who decides to do the same thing to LFC.

The onus is on Coutinho to now clean up his act and it his duty to put on the red shirt again and give it his all while Liverpool are paying his wages.

If he does not want to adhere to his contract then he can go rot like Sakho.

{Ed002's Note - Who would they be showing this to?}

We need to let him play a blinder this season like Suarez did before he left. Sell him for lots of money in the summer, and in the mean time, we need to sound out replacements for him so that it's a smooth transaction next year.

Letting him "rot in the reserves" is an emotional action rather than logical and professional, and one which would not be best for Liverpool.

Ed002, I think it is fair to say that Coutinho has it all to lose if he now does not clean up his act should Liverpool refuse to let him go before the Spanish window closes.

That should be a lesson in itself to all other players that refuse to play for LFC in future while being payed a wage which will be able to feed a country in poverty. That should send out a message that players will no longer get their way.

Coutinho is between a rock and a hard place at the moment and he only has himself to blame.

{Ed002's Note - Players don't even think about such matters and any "messages" that Liverpool send out I am afraid Max.}

Selling without a replacement is dumb business and this is why fans should never run clubs. They are too emotionally charged hence, could cut their noses to spite their faces. I want him gone as well BUT I'm not ready to sell without a replacement. That is just getting screwed twice which is senseless.

Players simply don't have the emotional attachment to the clubs they play for that fans have for the club they support .
It s somewhat naive to expect the top players to stay at a club which hasn't won a major title in some time when there are more lucrative options and better chances for trophies.
It has been a strange window in the number of transfers which didn't materialise .
I'm unsure if clubs or players have come out of it "holding the power"
Fully expected Costa, VVD, Coutinho, Barkley, Sanchez, etc to move but
didn't materialise .
