Whatever happens today let's not get too carried away. Regardless if coutinho goes or not we have a good squad with several youngsters (Arnold, Gomez and solanke) ready for first team football. Yes there are improvements to be made in goal and at centre back but Rome isn't built in a day. I would rather wait and it a top target in than settle for 2nd best. Our CL group draw helps too as we can juggle the squad ensuring the first 11 freshened up for league and cup games.

I don't get all the negativity! Yes VVD and an attacking midfielder would be great but if we don't sign them now we can go back in Jan or next summer.

I'm with you, Redroon. Regardless of what happens, we are a mun last season, we have a stronger squad and all positions (bar CB) are either covered or improved. We have 3 more points and 4 more goals than last season at this same point. There are too many positives out there to start having a moan about a CB coming in or not. If Cou stays, he will be dealt with internally like Suarez was and that should be that. City is next.

Agree Redroon, Ox and Salah effectively fix the departure from Couts from the wing, and Mane doesn't need to Afcon this year. In midfield we have same squad as last year except Can is a year older and better, and Grujic too, plus Milner can play there now, with Keita signed up for next year.

In defense we all know CB is an issue, but Robertson gives us more options at LB, and TAA and Gomez at RB.

Yes I think VVD and Lemar would be great signings if we still get them today but we're hardly in a crisis so patience for the right players is a bit of a luxury we can afford. Rather the right player in Jan than the wrong player now if our first choices not available.

With you there, SG but Cou was supposed to play the no 10 role hence, why Salah was signed cos Klopp wanted another winger anyway. Ox will not fill Cou's boots in CM which is why Klopp wanted both he and Lemar as Lemar is Cou's real replacement.
