Seriously don't understand the bashing of AOC. Opta Stats for 16/ 17
AOC scored more goals than Hendo
More shots than Hendo
More assists than Hendo and Can put together
Created the same chances as Hendo and 1 behind Can
Has a better passing accuracy than Can

And still only 24.

Henderson doesn't score enough. He bottles up front and one reason he was dropped into deeper role! That is not a good reference at all. Can has been playing 3 years while Ox is at Arsenal from a long time mate!

So Oxlade-Chamberlain, who played 45 times last season, primarily as a winger and attacking midfielder, could only create the same number of chances as Henderson, who exclusively played as a deepest lying of three midfielders? Oh, and Henderson could only manage 27 appearances due to injuries.

I'll give you some help. Comparing players who don't play the same role, and didn't make anything like the same number of appearances doesn't really tell you a lot about either player. I appreciate stats are a difficult mistress for some people, but I would at least expect a token effort to compare like with like.

If your stats obsessed and insist on comparing the Ox with an incumbent Liverpool player, try Wijnaldum or Lallana.

He will get the benefit of the doubt from me. I feel a bit like when we signed Gini - didn't think he was the player we needed, I even felt a bit like that about Sadio (still not sure exactly when he got so effing good?!? ) . I know that Arsen is gutted to be losing him, and despite his current problems he still knows a player. He is quick and powerful, and maybe with a little bit of what Sadio has been eating Klopp and co can turn him into a worldie.

In Klopp I trust.

Completely ridiculous reference point Anfield Rabble. Compare him to Mane, Salah or an attacking midfielder like Coutinho, as he's a winger who thinks he can play centre midfield, in the context of their performances he looks very very ordinary indeed.

Henderson plays a deeper role so doesn't get forward, you should compare interceptions, tackles, passes made and passes successfully made, which are fairer and more tangible.

For the record, when Oxlade has played in centre midfield Arsenal, they have been humped by the opposition and when he has for England, they've were over run in midfield. Make of that what you want. But it doesn't say anything positive.

Rabble, you get an A for effort but your post is has so many holes in it. Ox had more assists than Can and Hendo. That is a poor stat. Can is a the supremely better player than Ox in CM, and based on current form, one of the best in the PL. The stats will never tell you that. Ox is not a patch on Hendo.

Hendo scored 7 goals and double digit assists in 14/ 15 season before his injuries started. Ox has scored 9 goals in 6 years. Wiji, Hendo, Lallana, Mane and Salah, scored more goals than him in one season. How is he better than Hendo? Hendo plays as a 6 and is getting better at it while Ox can't play there or anywhere in our CM or out wide.

Ox maybe Klopp's choice BUT to say he is worth starting when all our mids are fit, is laughable. He is inferior to every midfielder and winger we have in the first team bar Grujic who is young but very promising. Next time If you want to compare players, I suggest you don't use stats as your argument as they can be debunked effortlessly. I just did as it was that easy.
