I can understand the concern that people have over oxlade chamberlain. Myself included. But if nothing else, the lad has turned down the current champions, with the offer of silly wages and the chance to stay in london, to come to us. We are now in a position where players such as keita, van dijk, and chamberlain are turning down teams because they WANT to join us.

Okay he hasn't shown much desire at arsenal recently but we don't know exactly what is going on inside of that club. In all honesty the players there look somewhat depressed and its no surprise he wants to jump ship. In terms of quality he has been a lot better over the last season than he used to be, still a lot of room for improvement. While i don't think klopp is the messiah, he has definately improved all the players, maybe except for lovren, in some way. All the players are growing more confident and look like a tighter team all the time. I honestly don't think it is beyond oxlade chamberlain to come to liverpool and put the questions behind him. If he does become a liverpool player it is our job to support him and not get on his back too much.

Who cares? Players have always wanted to come and play for us. there's been many players who have wanted to join who were Liverpool fans as kids. Who cares? Why do you care what he wants?
What you should be more interested in is if he improves us. You've had several seasons to watch him at arsenal surrounded by very good players. Did he impress you? We would improve aoc. He wouldn't improve us.

The Lad turned down Chelsea coz he wants to play centrally! Why is he not looking at a midtable club for regular place?

I disagree Al, I think he would be great addition to our squad.
I would wait a yr, rather than pay more than 25 million though.

He wants to play in centre midfield and asked for guarantees over his starting position. He simply is not good enough to play centre midfield in a team competing for honours. That neither Chelsea or Arsenal would want to offer him that says enough. If he wants to be a centre midfielder, go and do it badly at mid table team, not here.

The point being that a few years ago we were getting rejected by players like sigurdsson, sanchez and costa, now players are turning down the london clubs for an opportunity to join us.

Also, i don't know when milners contract ends, but i feel that oxlade chamberlain would be replacing milner in the role of a squad player.

Wooly, you are missing the point. I don't care if a player rejects other teams to come to us. If said player is poor and adds nothing to lour team, him rejecting other clubs to come here, will not suddenly make him a good player. That is simply illogical.

If he wanted to be a CM and demanded these guarantees from Chels and Arse and they rejected it, that simply means they see him as inferior in the CM setup. Why should we accept his demands where as he would not even make the squad in CM at LFC? Why should accept that garbage that other teams rejected all cos "he really wants to come to us"? That is deluded thinking.

Milner like Ox, adds nothing to our midfield either and per Ed01, Klopp wants rid as well so again, why accept the crap that other teams reject?
