Eds n Reds, I feel like we are at a point where we have to choose between either Henderson or Emre. My reasoning is i don't see Emre as a permanent CM in our midfield looking at how our team is evolving. obviously Coutinho was going to be alongside Keita infront of Henderson in an ideal world. That hasn't happened this year so there will be opportunities this season, but i feel like Emre sees things this way and is reluctant to sign because of it. i actually think its fair enough on his behalf, at only 23 he's at a level where a team like Juventus are willing to give him the assurances he might be after rather than playing as, in my mind Hendersons back up. personally i would be making the call to make Emre our CDM. that tho is very easy for ME to say, but i think from a managers point of view it would be really diffucult to make that call, on the Captain of a team that apear from the outside to be very close knit and are right now playing good football together. Henderson is also a top professional and i think a good leader. But is that enough if someone is proving to be the better option.? And when is the right time to make that sort of call.? Especially in Emre's case who is willing to run his contract down and move on. Thoughts.?

It's a good point made, I think everyone here knows what Hendo brings, but the way we could line up in midfield next year, it would be great to secure Can . He has improved so much and influences games much more .
If it was one or the other ide prefer we had Can, . Klopp has shown he can be ruthless, which is no bad thing .

There is a justifiable debate about who's the better player between Hendo and Can, there are certainly things Can does better than Hendo but there are a lot of people, and it seems Klopp is one of them, who see Hendo as the more effective player.

Hendo brings discipline and control to the team, something equally important to flair and creativity. He's also our only player who has that quality. Can has a lot of talent but would I put him in team if I had Hendo, Coutinho and Keita (assuming he's as good as we're told he is) available? No I wouldn't.

The beauty of playing both of them is when one goes forward the other sits and knows the position, If Emre is having no luck then he switches with Henderson it happened against arsenal all the time when Hendo pressed hard Can dropped in and stayed to cover while Hendo did the leg work I do think with both on top form with the addition of Gigi or whoever it will be very difficult for any team to beat them.

Can scores goals which is vital when you play two B2B players as well Wiji. Henderson simply doesn't!
