With Mane, Salah and Lallana to come back do you think we really need Lemar?

You can never have too many good players in your squad. Competition for places keeps a squad eager.

I think Lallana is primarily deployed as part of the midfield 3.

If we break our transfer record on Lemar then I don't think its for him to be sitting on the bench very often. Salah and Mane are safe as far as when we want to field our strongest side. For me he would likely play in the CAM position so it's 1 of the midfield 3 who could be at risk. If amazingly we signed Keita as well then I'd imagine 1 of them could be leaving.

We are playing two games a week for a big part of the season - every player will sit on the bench, every player will play. We will have to rotate. Therefore depth is needed.

Make no mistake Lemar is a very good player maybe the club is concerned aboutHendos heel injury that has to be managed.

I think klopp would love to win all competitions if we possibly can. We will need a strong squad.

For the so called smaller teams a more attacking lineup where the potential signings Lemar and Keita, along with Salah, mane, and Firmino could play which you would hope has far too much quality to mot score vs anyone. And yesterday we saw a more difficult to defeat line up from us vs the so called bigger team of Arsenal. United, Chelsea, and City will be a step up from them imo, but the way Can, Wijnaldum, and Hendo played they are capable of bossing those games too.

To me it makes perfect sense to add a new winger, it would be ridiculous to expect that kind of quality from both Mane and Salah twice a week for the whole season. Right now if we take off Mane or Salah, there is a significant gulf in quality of the replacement, but also we lose the explosive style. Lemar isn't as fast but he is quick enough and a similar ilk.

Hopefully it is not too good to be true.
