Three theories about the odd choice to drop Migs today:
1. He's going to be sold - this is possible and would explain why Ward had stayed at the club but with Klopp saying Migs is still number one then I think it's unlikely.
2. Klopp's playing at tactics - the game plan today was to play deep and strike on the counter. Karius is (supposedly) better than Migs on the ball so should have been better choice for playing out from the back or launching a quick counter. I think it's possible that Klopp would choose the best goalkeeper for a particular game but it doesn't explain why Migs wasn't even on the bench.
3. Klopp's playing mind games - Migs' firm had always been best after being dropped, it happened under Rodgers and it happened last season. This was Klopp keeping the pressure on Migs after a drop in his standards this season. I think this actually is a possibility.
Bonus theory - Migs was dropped because Klopp doesn't think he's any good.

Maybe migs will be a cup keeper and Karius the league keeper.

Weird one eh. I reckon klopp sees karius as the future but migs form last season earned him the shout so far. This decision also sees ward a step closer to the gloves and maybe he's being slowly integrated. Can't see SM being sold, we need 3 keepers.

Maybe Migs playing woefully and undermining the entire defence with his jitters is why he has been dropped?
