I'm not a hendo basher in general but since he's come back from injury he's been dreadful on the ball. He's been fairly good off it but he's trying to go forward too quickly with aimless or hopeful balls to nowhere far too often just count the 15 or so "passes" in the first half. He was really important today though and was excellent in winning the ball back and generally pressuring their midfield.

Admittedly in the first 15 minutes he was poor on the ball but thought he was absolutely excellent afterward that initial period.

He was a real leader today, got stuck in and did everything brilliantly. Him Can and Wijnaldum bossed it today. They need to do that every game.

I was you know actually watching rather than glossing over what happened by making comments like he did everything excellent when he clearly didn't. Watch it again. See him give the ball away countless times in the first half with first time "passes" or "hoofs" forward. Watch it. Agree with me and appologise :) I'll accept it because it's okay to change your mind after seeing new evidence that you clearly missed first time round.

Jezza it's unfair to call them "Hoofs", they were mostly eityer crosses or picking out runners. Agree he found his range more as the game went on, but it seems like he'll get slated on here no matter what he does. If he doesn't try longer passes, which will always have mixed success, then he will be critised for only passing sideways.

Jezza, Hendo did let a few passes go astray bUT to say he was awful is a bit far fetched. He had a more than solid outing and pressed the life out of Arsenal's midfield while offering protection to the defence. He is still trying to regain full fitness and today's perf definitely helped him.

I love comedians. They really make me laugh. And it brightens up the atmosphere on this site. (How else do you explain "I'm not a basher" while in the act of bashing? ) . LOL.
