With the whole lack of activity in regards to signing a CB, I have a feeling the plan for this season is to make Joe Gomez the starting CB over the course of the season. I know he has been playing RB so far, but he's very capable at CB and I think soon enough he may overtake Lovren in the pecking order. I hope.

Klopp wants him to convert to a full back I feel. Klopp said that over the summer the club put Gomez on a diet that would cause him to lose muscle this making him that bit quicker and more agile and suiting the full back position.
