Bad draw in my opinion. Not only have we missed out on all the best teams in Europe, but we also got second rate teams like Moscow and Maribor who are going to turn up purely to spoil which we know we struggle against.

Some people baffle me. We have struggled for years to get back in the Champions League so that we can enjoy playing against Europes elite, and then we are celebrating drawing Sevilla who are a Europa league team punching above their weight, and a couple of clubs nobody really cares about.

I wanted to see how Mane and co Would do against Madrid, Juventus, PSG etc. If the teams in our group turn up to park the bus we might not even get to play the big boys. At least last time when we got Ludogorets and Basel we also got a decent challenge in Madrid!

Disappointed. On a positive note, we really should qualify from that group. It will be Klopps head if we don't come out with at least 13 points. Just got to find a way past parked buses.

The aim is to go as far in the competition as possible. In my opinion the draw is very good and i would be gutted if we didn't qualify from the group. There will be plenty of time to play the big boys.

MK I see your point but id rather see the bigger teams in the knockout rounds and enjoy our journey a little longer.

Hopefully see couple of players coming in now to shore up the defence and improve our attack in breaking teams down.

Eds any chance of a little write up on our group opposition. Their strengths and weaknesses, star men and how they set up to play. I was a little worried about teams parking the bus but I can't see Sevilla playing that way but no little to nothing on the other 2.

Agree with you actually, however it is nice to know that we have a good chance of qualifying from the group and have a warm up for the big boys!

If we get some early wins then hopefully we can rest some players and rotate the squad/ key players for the last couple of games.

Well, we could try making it out of the group stages first. Then we would be able to face the European heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Barca, Juventus, PSG, Bayern etc

Most of the Liverpool are not seasoned Champions League players so it might be good to get a favourable draw in the group stages to get used to the travelling, hostile/ partisan away crowds etc before facing the giants in the knockout rounds.

We need to get ourselves noticed first before we start trying to play against Madrid and Barcelona early on.

Our reputation, prestige and finances would benefit from as long a run as possible in the Champions League.

Hope you're right Rover and Lavers. I want big European nights. On a positive note, should be really easy to get tickets for Maribor and Moscow. I haven't seen a European game since Besiktas in the Europa league about 3 years ago!

i want to get as far as we possibly can and feel we have a better chance of progression against moscow Sevilla or maribor. let's see what mane can do against the bigger teams in the knockouts. Some people just never ever happy.

We need to earn the right to play the bigger teams in the knockout rounds. It is the disrespect shown to the likes of Spartak and Sevilla that will see us depart the competition in the group phase.
We need to be up for EVERY game and then see where it takes us.

Don't think it's fair to call Seville a Europa league team punching above their weight. They earned the right to be in the CL just like us, after all.

What division does that put us in then, having been comprehensively knocked out?

Better to progress to the later rounds than now out early against the big boys?

MK it's all very well wanting 'big nights' but we are still hunting down at least 3 targets. We're not in the same position as the big guns right now. I'd rather we build up our confidence over the course of the season rather than look like right tits cos we think a louder stadium may carry us through. We're a very good team but a little way to go still.

Not exciting
And lfc will struggle against these teams
They will surprise everyone
And before games people will think it's easy
Then we lose from silly mistakes

In my opinion we had more chance against the toughtest draw likes Spurs

Terrible draw for Liverpool.

Don't know why you're complaining about the draw we got, if it's going to allow us a higher chance of qualifying then I'm happy, then we would get to play the big boys anyway. If we can't qualify from this group then we don't deserve to be playing champions league.
