Hi eds what gave you made of salahs start to. his liverpool career, thought he gave the ball away cheaply at times but his pace is devastating.

Cheerw.

{Ed001's Note - that is exactly how I see it. He needs to get his confidence up a bit by knocking a few more goals in and then he will be flying I hope.}

His right foot is non existent and that worries me a little. He waits precious moments shifting the ball onto his left. Also he does seem to be lacking a bit in match sharpness which will no doubt improve as the season progresses.
But there is no doubt we are getting good value for money in Salah. 40 million pounds in today's market is cheap change for a goal scoring wide player.

He is a decent winger who relies on pace and space! He is nothing like Mane who tricks players with his movement as well! Don't shoot me down! I have seen him play a lot at Roma and I know what are his attributes. He also has a very poor first touch!

He doesn't have a poor first touch at all. Yes, he is a bit one footed, bur that's all I will give you there. Quality player, quick footed and quick minded.

Salah is exactly what we needed, IMO and he is showing it. His ability to pass and move, while in stride is amazing coupled with the fact that he is a poacher in the box which is rare for a wide forward. he is still new to the PL right now so I expect him to improve (esp. his first touch) cos he has a fantastic attitude and eagerness to be great.

I think his first touch has been excellent so far, watching him last night and the ball seemed to stick to him like glue.

Poor first touch? Pretty sure I saw him take a goal kick down with a sublime touch in the first half, world class level skill.

Great pace, effective taking on players when there's space to run into (less effective in the tight spaces), perhaps a bit one footed, but has a decent finish.

The most impressive thing I've noticed about him is he follows in every shot. A lot of wingers won't but he puts himself in a lot of positions to score off rebounds, 50/ 50 crosses or GK saves that might spill. I think he'll pick up a lot of his goals like that this year (like when he bundled in Manes chip that was going just wide) . He's a bit of a poacher and that's a pleasant surprise for me.

He makes good runs I think if Phil stays he will pick him out a lot. I also like how he seems to pop up in the around the 6 yard box looking for scraps it's something we've been missing.

It's less about pace. It's his positional sense.

He will bang 15 in this season no worries.

Manes mane as you said

Firmino when teams play open is the best in the world for me at doing what he did last night. Unfortunately as has been shown over a number of seasons, teams just defend against us for fear of what we did to hoff last night. That's why firmino is useless as all his super qualities go when there s no space. For that reason I'm predicting 12 for him and 15 assists, as the big sides will feel firmino rath. Still a good return for a n7nber ten playing up top but not for Liverpool football clubs striker.

JW, one of the most one footed players I have ever seen.
