At the end of the day I want Liverpool to do what is best for Liverpool, I don't care what Coutinho wants. I want the club to make the best decision for them, Coutinho may not be happy but he'll buckle down once the window closes, do you think every premier league squad is full of happy players?

{Ed002's Note - Most clubs will move unhappy players on.}

Yes, but we have given him a stage when he was struggling at Inter, sat on the sidelines. We've rewarded him with a good contract as the highest earner at over 200,000 a week!

Ok Phil, you want to go, but first, understand that Barcelona are trying to take advantage of the situation with a club that have shown you how much they want you. You are worth more than 80million to us, take an ibuprofen for your back and get in to training and earn your wages! All these footballers need to get a grip. Try doing my job for year!

Yes, You can blame him! So what if its every Brazilian's or South American's dream? Should clubs bow down to every players dream? What about the club? What about the hole it leaves? What about the disruption it's caused? Shall we be 2nd best for the rest of our days? A feeder club for Barca? Didn't think so!

Dont care what other clubs would do. it would damage our season if we sell him this late. And i seem to remember when other clubs were taking a similar stance the attitude was"the club have no want or need to sell the player and they don't need the money".

I'm sorry but I completely disagree Ed2. How can you possibly know how many players are happy and how many are unhappy? Clubs will do what's best for them just like RBL with Keita, Southampton with VVD, Arsenal with Sanchez, Utd with De Gea, the list goes on and on. Also from what I've read Coutinho isn't unhappy at Liverpool, if he was then why sign a long term contract 6 months ago? He wants to take this opportunity to play for his dream club that's completely different to an unhappy player. If we don't allow him to and he is then unhappy, sulking and causing problems then I'm sure we will move him on in Jan or next summer.

{Ed002's Note - Actually I know rather a lot about the game and about the clubs. You cite players that Liverpool has illegally approached as examples of unhappy players - I assume that is some sort of feeble attempt at a joke. As I have explained, Coutinho has been courting Barcelona for more than a year - he wants to leave.

Embarrassing.}

He's not the first player and won't be the last player to use Liverpool as a stepping stone. But one thing I would be careful about if I was the Liverpool board, and I do not believe I've seen this mentioned on here, but if Liverpool hold onto him and scupper his chance of joining Barcelona after Barcelona have offered fair money to sign him, then future top players who are also looking to use Liverpool for a temporary club will choose to play elsewhere. Players like Suarez and Sterling were never going to end their careers at Liverpool. It was the next stage of their development. Same with Ronaldo. MU always knew his dream was to one day play for Real Madrid. But signed him regardless.

Ed 02 if you know rather a lot about the game and clubs how comes your not raking it in with the rest of the football world. Let me guess is it down to your people skills.

{Ed002's Note - It is a real pity that your father was not the wanker that you clearly are.}

His advisors should be shot.

If by courting Barca, they then advise him to sign a bumper new deal at Liverpool and probably do ok out of it with their conmision,

It just doesn't make sense.

What was all this crap spouted by him about a statue.

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps you should have listened to what you have been told to you about him for more than a year.}?}

If Cou was LFC owner, would he accept the spit in the face that Barcelona called a bid that was sent in on Fri? If the answer is no, then why is he expecting us to accept it?
