Decent performance from the team today nothing great though. Robertson had a great game! Great to see a left back that can defend as well as get forward well. Klavan actually looked more solid than Lovern at the back, I thought Matip and Klavan actually defended ok at times today but didn't get tested from set pieces too much. Gomez did ok at right back.

Any chance of a forward pass from Henderson, Milner or Wijnaldum? This midfield just seems to slow the play down so much and they all constantly play passes side to side or backwards. I hope we sign a midfielder who can play intelligent forward passes, especially if Coutinho ends up at Barca.

Firmino was a little sloppy at times with his passing but had some decent attempts and gave 100% as always. Mane again played well, was his usual self, trying to run at defenders. Sturridge did ok, still seems to me like he's holding back a little.

Ok performance but a good 3 points against a team we've struggle against in recent times.

I think that's a quite good review. Robertson played very well but to be fair palace where very poor.

Henderson was tried a few balls in behind in the first 30 minutes, he stopped when it didn't really come off.

Everything looks good but klavan or lovren are not good enough. we definitely need a defender. I liked how the team was setup towards the end of the match. replace gomez with arnold and klavan with a new signing and we will be great in every area.

Sell continho, he doesn't want to be here. firmino can easily play in midfield. We need a player like solanke up top as firmino gets out muscled way too much.

Coutinho should be kept at all costs, that proved it today, not a forward pass between that midfield 3, abs desperate, even the crown were moaning at times.

The midfield was terrible, a better team would have battered us. But Solanke was a good outlet and Robertson was light years ahead of Moreno. Finnan mk2?

It was a good performance, overall judging by the circumstances and knowing that both our creative sparks lallana and Cou would not be playing. I expected a workman-like performance in midfield and we got that today. Expecting Hendo, Wij and Milner (who should be nowhere near the CM ever) to play in creative balls in behind, is just lunacy so that part was no surprise.

What did surprise me was Robbo and Gomez and their individual performance. Thye were both outstanding and were solid defensively too esp. when they were isolated vs Dross Townsend and Benteke. I also want to give mad props to Klavan today. he was outstanding as well and more than held his own vs Benteke and one a lot of his headers vs him. Solid performance. clean sheet, 3 points so what is there to complain about? NOTHING. On to the Hoff on Wed to finish, the job.
