I see Alderweireld is stalling on a new contract. Too late in the window now for Spurs to consider selling, but I'd be over the moon if we brought him in in January or next summer.

At this stage of his career he wants trophies. We don't look good for that at the moment. He'll go to Real Madrid, Chelsea or City.

Spot on, Dennis. I would love him at LFC as he is a leader and a very good CB and would thrive under any system. However, he like several Spurs players are itching to jump ship right now cos of the Spurs wage structure so don't be surprised if their stars start leaving one by one to get paid elsewhere.

{Ed001's Note - if they could see the club building on last season and showing ambition to win trophies, the wage structure would not be an issue. The problem is that most of them realise that, with Wembley as a 'home' stadium for a season or two, they have missed their best chance to win the league now.}

Thanks for the insight, Ed. The players may be realizing that now cos Wembley for a season or two neutralizes home advantage for them hence, every team goes there with more hope and belief. This will only make it harder for Spurs to play.
