Evans to city looks like they understand the vvd situation and moved on.

My initial thought was they were struggling for the home grown quota and also needed a CB so they thought why not do both.

If they need homegrown players I'll happily sit on the sidelines for 20k a week!

They don't have much left! They have crossed the limits and are looking to sign Sanchez as well.

VVD will end up at Chelsea if he moves anywhere.

In what sense is Evans home grown?

{Ed002's Note - In every sense. Evans is home grown.}

Mr Dennis are actually Dennis Wise? You seem very keen for VVD to sign for Chelsea 😂.

City probably want some homegrown players in the squad, hence the Evans interest. let's be honest, he won't start many games just like Delph, Roberts, Sinclair who all wasted precious years at City. Kompany and Stones will still be their first choice CB pairing and when/ if Kompany gets injured, City will do a Liverpool in defending.

Ings n things, It is just logical that Southampton are very very annoyed with the way that we acted, they now have a centre back who will not play for them and Chelsea are said to be in for VVD (Notwithstanding the social media post stating that he was in London yesterday that was quickly deleted) and if they make a bid that Southampton think is too good to turn down he will go there, we will have zero say in the matter. I personally think because of the way we have acted hell would freeze over before Southampton would consider selling to us, to think otherwise is just self deluding.

The second poster refers to the home grown quota, Evans is Irish and does not qualify for the home grown quota, being neither English or Welsh.
