French knitting? I reckon you could knock out half a tea-cosy before kick off.

You can visit the childhood homes of Harold Wilson, and James Mason, plus it has a busy dogging area.

{Ed007's Note - The Tolson Musuem and the Rugby League Heritage Centre are a MUST!}

There's not much to do over here unless you like drinking or walking.

I'm over from Ireland for the first time in 6 years for the arsenal match, can't wait, going to do all the Beatles related activities possible while slightly sozzled and spend the rest of the time doing all things lfc. lurking around Melwood mostly.

{Ed002's Note - There is a BRitish Music Experience running at the Cunard Building (The Strand, Pier Head, Liverpool L3 1Q) that is worth a visit Lim Red.}

Cheers Ed002,you're a gent, will definitely pencil that in, we're over for four days so going to try to pack as many non pub* related activities as possible, and that looks a treat.

*Irish lads on Merseyside, the pub is an inevitability

Cheers
Lim.

I'm from Holmfirth close to Huddersfield. The town centre isn't brilliant but as ed007 suggested there are a few museums. If you have access to a car come to Holmfirth and check out Last of the summer wine country. If not the 314 bus will take your there in a circulous manner.
