Edd 2 mentioned a while back we mucked up a transfer for a young lad that went wrong. It has impacted his family financially I was wondering if lfc have helped cover the cost. And will we be back in with a proper deal for the young lad.

{Ed002's Note - No, far from it. Liverpool are going to court to defend themselves about the debt the family is now in.}

That is pathetic. We screwed not only the kid but Stoke FC and the boy's family. Why can't we just act responsibly and accept whatever sanctions are handed down to us? Instead, we play innocent and try to leave the family in thousands of debt.

Something needs to be done. I hope the kid's family wins the court case and get the money to cover their debt. We, as a reputable club, should be better than this. It is so embarrassing to see Liverpool associated with despicable acts like this. Surely there has been an internal investigation to find out the people responsible for this conduct because I cannot believe we would allow them to continue working for us after this shambles.

Thanks eds2 for explaining that. It's things like this that ruin our club. I really hope the family win the case and the club has to pay out more than the family lost.
I hope this lad goes on to have a great career. Have a great night eds 2.

{Ed002's Note - There is going to be an effort to persuade the authorities to allow this to be resolved as an exception. There is another EPL side that wants the kid but cannot go down the route of education. Only two EPL sides provide complete funding and Liverpool looking to tap the kid up, make back hand payments, lie to the investigation, try and persuade the parents to lie, and then leave them in debt wetre very quick to accept their punishment and hope it goes away. Now with the court case and the, I won't go in to detail, "smoking gun" it is back.}

Totally agree. Edd1 mentioned a while back that we have been very poor with charity work too. I believe he said we are one of the worst in the league regarding this. Apparently lfc would not even send a football for edd1 friends charity cause .

I've just read that story. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

If LFC don't compensate that young lad for their wrongdoing then the FA need to intervene and do the right thing.

{Ed002's Note - Unfortunately it is rather more complex as it requires the bending or ignoring of some rules. As an exception it should be doable.}

Absolutely disgraceful from Liverpool.

They better do the right thing by that little guy.

I know it's not right what happened but does it have to be brought back up every couple of days . If you want to know about it use the search engine. This is a transfer rumours site. Sick of reading about this. What's happened has happened move on.

{Ed002's Note - It will come up whilst people ask about it - and only know are people really getting to understand that there is work to do cleaning up the club. You may simply want to brush it off for convenience, but perhaps others feel that understanding the issues within football are more important. I am with someone from the PFA this evening and they are working hard to give players a good deal - not so much the wealthy elite, but those who struggle with finnaces, being left without an income at 21, various addictions and not making provision for their futures etc.. This is to them a high-profile matter, as is an issue with another Premier League side and foreign youngsters. To date they saty clear because their remit is limited. Now there is a push to start getting them, and others, involved.}

Ed002 if your going to criticise me read my post properly. I said at the start it's not right. Nowhere did I say I wanted to brush it off for convenience. What I said was true it's brought up on this site all the time which is supposed to be a transfer and banter site. If it was to do with NK or VVD you would say use the search engine or RTFP. You seem to enjoy talking about this subject. I like many others are depressed enough atm about the lack of transfers without having to read about this every day because as a red this depresses me also because off how bad my club as acted. Again not to brush it off.

{Ed002's Note - What you did was take a serious subject and tell people you were sick of reading about and you are accepting of what has happened has happened and you want people to move on. People asked a genuine question after finding out quite how bad things are with a child damaged by LFC. Not a big rufty-tufty footballer they have illegally screwed with, but a 12 year old child. Perhaps others care more than you do about such matters - in which case, perhaps you should not read anything I post and perhaps you should not respond if you do.}

This is atrocious behaviour. I hope this is sorted so the kid and his family come off better, regardless of penalty to LFC. This is not the sort of behaviour that made our club great, and has become far too prevalent recently.

Ed002 I think you have totally misunderstood where I'm coming from. When I said I was sick of reading about it I meant about the way my club as acted not that I don't care about matters like this. You and ed1 have explained about this in length on numerous occasions that's why I said use the search engine. Again I repeat this subject depresses me big time that the club I love could stoop so low and that is why I hate reading about it. Btw I enjoy reading your posts and I didn't mean to sound as if I was getting at you I wasn't. As I said previously this is a banter site so maybe there should be a page for more serious topics.

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps you should have thought about that before you took a serious subject and tell people you were sick of reading about and you are accepting of what has happened has happened and you want people to move on. We are not adding page to the site to compensate for you making a complete ass of yourself.}

Belfast red sorry for upsetting you I did use the search function but there was no definitive answer to the has lfc paid hence I asked eds2 as he knows his stuff.

Ed2 I don't even think you understand my posts and I don't think I have made an ass of myself. When you come from a country like I do that lost over 3000 people and left many kids without parents it puts things into perspective. We are told to move on all the time. This boy's parents will win their court case and I'm sure he will go on to have a good career. Again its supposed to be a banter site but if you read something you don't like you put people down. Im sure you will be glad to know it will be the last time i post on your supposedly banter site.

{Ed002's Note - Right, so because you are from Northern Ireland you don't give a fuck because of what happened 40 years ago. We get it.}
