Why don't we keep Moreno and push him further upfield. He's got a quality left foot and good pace. He'll be much more suited as a left sided midfielder.

Actually Mane's preferred position is the right side .

Change the system, sign a CDM ro help out the Cbs and have our fullbacks play as wingbacks. You not only solve the Moreno conundrum but it suits TAA and Robertson as well considering none of them are particularly great at defending.

Sorry ed, I wasn't aware the same 11 played every game. Do you suggest we have one player for left and one for right side? Maybe that's where we're going wrong.

Moreno is no winger but, to his credit, he seems to be trying to iron out the flaws in his game and looks much improved at left-back compared to last season. The lad has an apparently excellent attitude, trains hard and wants to improve - maybe give him a bit more time this season and see if he can't do a job for us a left back?

Gareth Bale wasn't a winger. We have an attack minded full back who can't defend, tried coaching him for over a year and we can't sell him for the price we want.
Simple suggestion is to try him in midfield.

Because he's apparently a failed winger in the past (5yrs ago in Spain) has no relevance to how he can be coached to competent his abilities in the future.
