My take on the PC situation is this. I am unfortunately old enough to remember Keegan, Souness, Rush, Owen, Torres, Suarez all leaving. 40 years on the club is still one of the biggest clubs in the world. We have a top manager and a very good side.
I think if we could get a replacement for PC the club would kick him out of the door right now, however he has signed a five year deal and the club are still in the driving seat. Barcelona and the likes think they can run rough shot over clubs and I for one are happy the club has taken the stance they have, they have had plenty of time to put in a suitable offer but they have been tossing around for weeks, using the media to unsettle the player. We are the biggest critics of our club messing around with transfers, however close on our tails are Barcelona - if they wanted him that much they should have made us an offer we could not refuse and not let it get to the situation where PC feels he is forced to put in a TR.
I can only think that the club are frantically looking for a suitable replacement at the moment. However Klopp and the club are right, if we can't get a replacement then the player has to lump it and stay until we do. Why should we be penalised for Barcelona dragging their feet and being muppets.

Southampton and RB have dug their heels in, and good on them so we should take a leaf out of their book - clubs all over have to stick together and stop this nonsense of players throwing their toys out of the pram every time they want a move. They get paid enormous amounts of money and should show a little respect. liverpool bought CT a few years back when he was struggling as a player and have made him into a very wealthy man - HAVE SOME RESPECT! Mr and Mrs Coutinho.

Great post agree with everything said. We get blasted on here for the way we go about transfers and quite rightly. But Barcelona should stop low balling in the current market the bids they have made are insulting. The cheapskates need to offer the majority of that Neymar money if they want Couts and we should accept only if we can find a suitable replacement first.
