What really sh*ts me is despite always wanting to leave the club, he still signed a new deal only 7 months ago, without a release clause, and then sat there lying through his teeth about his supposed commitment to Liverpool. I understand that for diplomatic purposes you have to lie to some extent, i. e. "I'm happy to sign this contract and I look forward to the future with the club", but to go into detail about staying for years to come, and desiring to be remembered among such names he mentioned like Dalglish and Sounness, I just don't get why he bothered? Why was he trying to trick us?

And we call fans of another club bitters. eds and macca have told us that the club knew of his wishes and him leaving was expected (just not this year)
Things have changed, doesn't make him the judas everyone seems to think he has suddenly become.

He might not be w Judas but the timing still makes him a complete rubbish head. I wouldn't do that to my bosses on my humble wage. **** coutts and **** his days notice before the season.

Sorry Redskyatnight, but in terms of gratitude and respect, Coutinho owes a lot to Liverpool. Without Liverpool, who knows where he'd be? Would he have developed into the same player? We were the only 'elite' club out there willing to give him a chance. If he dreams to play for Barca, that's fine, but the way he is going about it is far less gracious and respectful to Liverpool and its fans than it could be. You don't sign a big new contract committing you to the club only 6 months before you intend to leave anyway, you don't lie through the skin of your teeth to your fans about how committed you are, and you don't leave it until the eve of the team's first game to email a transfer request.

{Ed002's Note - You have known this has been coming for more than year if you read these pages - and the club has known as well.}
