Hi eds,

Long time reader, first time poster! Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the coutinho situation.

Read reports this morning from Guillem Balague, who always seems to give an honest and accruate opinion. He's basically saying liverpool have not heard from Barcelona since their first offer and have no intention of meeting Barcelona to discuss a potential deal. Barcelona are saying they won't over spend on coutinho. Coutinho is out with a back injury and is still behaving impeccably.

Surely we are in the exact same situation that RB Leipzig were in with Keita. A part from Barcelona aren't directly tapping up the player but using the media to unsettle him. Other than that it's the same, isn't it? The player would like the move put won't necessarily push for it. We do not need to sell or want to sell. Personally I think we'll keep hold of him, unless he hands in a transfer request.

Either way, excited for the new season! Hopefully klopp can win us a trophy this year!

Thanks for all your hard work eds! Not sure I'd have the patience for your job!

{Ed002's Note - It was Coutinho who courted Barcelona so it is very different to Keita. Barcelona will return with a proposal this week - I have explained that.}

Oh ok, sorry ed. I didn't realise he courted Barcelona. I must of missed that. I guess we'll just have to see what happens when Barcelona return. Thanks for the reply though ed! Top job!

Ed002 - I know it isn't strictly LFC related but for Barcelona Is Dembele there replacement for neymar? and Couts for iniesta?

{Ed002's Note - They want Dybala as the replacement for Neymar. They want DEmbele as an addition to the squad.}

Thanks Ed. Talk about squad depth if they get Dybala aswell as Dembele and Couts.

I've always found Barcelona to have the thinnest squad on FIFA and PES. Bought time they added some depth!
