Hi Eds, I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I was wondering how probity of contract works in football?
I have 2 questions about this. The first is what is the FAs role in contracts. When Neymars release clause was activated it was given to the Spanish FA. So are the FA party to the contract or is this just a requirement in the release clause?
The other issue was about the enforceability of clauses by third parties. I was wondering why the jurisdiction of the club makes a difference for enforcing these clauses as, under U. K. Privity laws, an interested third party can enforce clauses in contracts and this law doesn't specify that they have to be from the same jurisdiction, so I was just wondering why it is different with football contracts?
Thanks, and I do understand if you don't want to post this as it is pretty technical and not Liverpool related.

{Ed002's Note - (a) When payments are made they are paid via the FAs who are responsible for settling debts due and taking their cut before passing the remainder on to the club. (b) Privity is no different with regards football contracts. I assume you have a more specific question with respect to this.}

Hi ed,
I was wondering if a players contract referred to other clubs directly in the clauses or if they were worded generally?

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand, refer to other clubs in respect of what?}
