First time poster, long time follower.
I'm reading a lot about us not being able to replace coutinho etc, but correct me if I'm wrong, is firmino's best position not the same one currently occupied by coutinho?
If he were to go for a decent sun, could we not just drop firming back to the 10
Position and focus on a striker for example?

Personally, if we were to lose Coutinho (which I think is marginally more likely than not the 'now or never' from Barcelona may well sway him), then a slight tactical re-arrangement with Firminho occupying a forward position in central midfield - a sort of cross between playmaker and attacking midfielder as opposed to playing front 3, would pay dividends.

100m is a lot of money for a player that we only paid 8.5m for - we could cover any VVD transfer, buy another 40-50m player as well and still have enough for a bag of chips and the last bus.

Personally, as an old git I miss the old days when your transfer business was largely done in private and the first anyone even knew about it was when it had already been done - blimey half the time the players themselves didn't know.
