Solanke, what do people think so far? Opinion would be welcome from any ed that's about.

I have been thoroughly impressed so far. Didn't realise he was such a tall lad. He's strong and composed, and not afraid to have an early dig.

As with so many of their youngsters, Chelsea have really cocked up letting him go.

{Ed002's Note - He is a good player and much was expected of him. However his financial demands were well beyond what Chelsea would pay for him and they ran down his contract.}

so far so good, Solanke is so cool in front of the goal, for his age, he really is a good buy, he has the making of a top striker .

{Ed025's Note - i have seen it all before though RF, im not saying he cant be just dont lets put too much pressure on the guy thats all mate..

I worry that he has a serious lack of pace, that you can get away with in the younger age groups but we all know in the premier league, pace is king. He is a natural goal scorer fo sho tho.

your right there Ed, I am hoping that Sturridge stays fit, as that will then limit game time for Solanke, so we can then ease him in .

Kane, Costa and Ibraloveshimself don't have an abundance of pace but are still pretty handy strikers.

I've been really impressed with Solanke from what I've seen of him this summer, finds space well, holds the ball up well, knows where the goal is and links up play well, I'd like to see him get game time in the cups and come off the bench in some league games.

Solanke is the plan B we haven't had before a different option for the forward position and one that make opposing defenders change style. Too many times we change like for like up front. Dom gives us a different threat he's the physical threat we lacked last season and I can see him being a permanent bench solution for plan B.
