Papers saying liverpool have ramped up their efforts to sign van dyke. Ant idea where this has come from eds? What does ramp up even mean here?

Yeah according to reports Saints are looking to bring in the Lazio centre half Wesley Hoedt. Could be a potential replacement for Van Dijk who knows.
