Hey Ed's and anyone else interested.

Just to change up the constant Couts. VVD. Kieta posts.

Please advise on the strengths and weaknesses of the following strike partners and place in order of your favourite and why!

1) Keegan and Toshack
2) Daglish and Rush
3) Rush and Fowler
4) Owen and Heskey
5) Torres and Gerrard (I know not quite a strikers partnership but still an attacking one)
6) Suarez and Sturridge

Mine has to be Rush and Fowler in there prime but loved tge Suarez and Sturridge partnership. My top three are as follows;

1) Rush and Fowler - A nightmare for any defenders and both deadly in front of goal.

2) Suarez and Sturridge - Different in their approach. but both could make a goal out of a nothing situation. Suarez was sublime in ghosting past players like they where not there.

3)Daglish and Rush - Best ever liverpool player Daglish and Rush the most prolific striker.

Cheers.

{Ed025's Note - daglish and rush for me jonpow, but what the hell owen and hesky are doing on that list i dont know..

Great debate!

Based on history, it would have to be Dalglish and Rush, but I was too young to appreciate them in their prime.

In my lifetime, and controversially, I would say Suarez and Sturbridge based on 1 explosive season. However, for longevity, I can see the Heskey Owen position, Ed001. They weren't both great strikers but for a few seasons, Heskey allowed Owen to score at will.

Rush and Fowler, tho would be my no 2 to SaS, with Stevie and Torres next.

Honoriuble mention to the one striker I hoped the most for but never quite did it in the first team, yes it is Stevie's younger brother, Neil Mellor!

Fowler and Collymoore could have been a cracking partnership.

Them two were right on each others level, only for Stans problems they could have been one of the best.

Great to watch!

I've literally just watched Heskey in a local game where I live. Him and Spud Murphy stayed out for ages to sign autographs and pics with the fans, great to see two ex reds giving the youngsters a teat like that.

1. Has to be Dalglish and Rush these two had the lot goals, workrate, moments of genius and most importantly a shed load or silverware.
2. Keegan and Toshack before my time but from the loads of highlights I've seen plenty of goals, the telepathic understanding, defended from the front and again loads of winners medals
3. It's not on your list and although not a striker I'll go with Barnes and Aldridge. Proven winners and Barnes made it so easy for Aldridge. Barnes is easily one of the most gifted players I've seen in a red shirt.

Surely Beardsley and Aldridge should get on that list? But my top would have to be a toss up between Keegan and Toshack or Rush and Dalglish.

Cracking shout for Collymore there Davey. If his head was right, he could have been Liverpool and England's best ever striker.

My time started with Fowler and Collymore so I can't comment before that but, for two seasons, Gerrard and Torres were out of this world so I'd go with them.

has to be King Kenny and Rush, that diagonal pass and a clinical finish was a joy to watch .
