In these times of football madness i thought i would share some opinions . firstly on the Can situation. He did give his all when he played. But he will not be missed. He was never liverpool standard. never rwally developed and i don't yhink he will become the player we hoped he would be. Good luck to him if he goes. Wish him the best.
As for wee phil. I always like him. I live in brazil and have followed him since his Vasco days. He is a special player. but. again not irreplacable. He saved us a few times this year and does open up teams. But all this talk of continuosly selling our best is nonsense. Torres had a nightmare when he left us. Was nevwr the same. Im not saying that will happen for phil at barca.
What we need is to buy wisely to replace him. Remember when Rushy left. Bought aldo barnes and beardo. We need to be smart. Get the right quality players with an effective system. that's what works. We will go on long after these players come and go. The most important thing is replace with quality. not like for like. Salah is turning out to be a great buy. Imagine for the couts money we got another 2 of 3 of similar end product. Id be happy with that!

A very sage and measured response to the carnival craigu.
No one one on this planet really knows what they are are doing with absolute certitude. Hence the circus.
However, there are those who have exemplified excellence and I think that we are fortunate enough to have many of them within our noble institution, despite perceived failings.

Liverpool Football Club is bigger than any player, manager or financial trend. It is an institution revered throughout the planet, based on a hard, tumultuous, but glorious history.

Klopp is not here for the pay cheque, he wants his name in stone next to King Kenny, Shanks and Paisley. And he's picking players to achieve that.

Hammer and Chisel at the ready. YNWA.

Replacing players is a lot easier when you are the number 1 team in the land as players want to come to us. We already have a big bag of cash that we can't spend to improve the starting 11, so having an even bigger bag makes little sense to me. For every Salah or Mane we have signed, we have signed 10 markovic or downing or Andy Carrolls.

No player is irreplaceable, I love Coutinho but he can still vanish in games. However as this summer is proving getting in top quality is very difficult, I'm not sure who we could get who would have Coutinho's quality.

Faithinworks. im sorry, but at 23 he and 2/ 3 years here he should be showing us a lot more. If he is going to be a class above he would have dhown it already. hell. i don't even think he's been man of the match with us. Get over it. he's not that good. Answer this question. alonso had just turned 23 when he joined us. who would rather have? World of quality difference.
