Anyone know if Klopp had a similar track record of unethical transfer approaches in Germany, or has this been highlighted because of Liverpool football club?

Surely a leopard doesn't necessarily change its spots, but this situation could rest on a nunber of issues:

- A lack of confidence in the current set-up by the manager.

- The inability of the staff to negotiate properly

- An arrogance from the manager with a disregard to all

- A simplistic naivety from everyone involved, from top to bottom

- The fundamental egotistical issue of being not being able to accept no as an answer.

Not that it bothers me of course, but it is intriguing.

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to see this opened up. As I have explained he needs to take a different approach going forward. He is a decent manager - not "world class" but decent. He needs to concentrate on coaching and give his view on transfers and then step back.}

Ed002, just wondering if you think Klopp is a decent but not world class manager, who in your opinion at the minute is world class? Not stating that I disagree with you but would like to know who in your opinion are the top managers out there now.

{Ed002's Note - "World Class" mangers will be consistently sucessful. Klopp has won nothing for years. He is a decent manager.}

Klopp does not go to clubs sitting comfy at the top. He pick clubs like Liverpool that when he arrived were in turmoil. If Klopp went to Man city of Utd or Chelsea do you not think he would of done a lot better than 4th place last season. I don't claim to know everything about football but I can honestly see that he does not just pick clubs at there high points. He has taken Liverpool and turned them around. I'm not sure who you support ED002 but is not Liverpool is it.

{Ed002's Note - He went to Liverpool because the job he wanted at Bayern Munich was not available at the time. I am not sure how his results at Liverpool make him "World Class" - his win percentage in competitive games at Liverpool is still slightly behind Brendan Rodgers - do you think he was "World Class" as well?}

Neither BR nor Klopp is world class. Klopp is however, light years ahead of BR. Win % to me, is a fake/ illogical way of comparing managers.

haha win percentage is irrelevant to compare managers? that way tony pulis is a better manager than alex ferguson. get a grip managers are only defined by how many games they won.
have to ever seen the tactical changes top managers like SAF, mourinho make in 90 minutes to win a damn game of football.
its about eating your ego and doing what's right when it is required and those two managers had some big ego.
Klopp is nowhere near a top manager. His teams would never sustain success and he might get us one PL title but he his not going to make us champions years in years out. he will go to Bayern once Ancelotti hangs his boots.
I have said it from day 1 us LFC fans are too much in love with Klopp so much so all his many evident short comings are just washed away. his media friendliness has us in all sorts of troubles. The club has faced two serious charges and is potentially looking at a future transfer ban. He is a downright clown with some excellent players at his disposal
antonio conte, with a lackluste chelsea side, with marcus alonso and moses on wings, cahill and luiz in defense raced to the PL title. That for you right there is a world class manager.

Add Suarez and Gerrard to LFC last year, probably win the league. If Klopp can find a couple of world class players we will win plenty. They are hard to find though. NK has that sort of potential, that's why we've pushed so hard.

I thought BR was the wrong choice start. I also don't think any manager will win PL titles with any consistency now either, the league is so competitive now. I think Klopp is a top manager at a club that does not have the financial clout of more than a few other PL club let alone European clubs. Klopps not the first manager to tap players up, and he won't be the last. Is Pochittino world class in you opnion ED002 because he is not winning things consitanly either and maybe had the best team for the last 2 seasons. I think your logic for saying Klopp is not world class is floored. Klopp is a top manager I would say as good as Pochittino. Also Conte did not walk in on an lacklustre squad, a top manager no doubt I actually tip CFC before the season started last year on the back of Conte appointment. Great squad top manager and a style that worked because a great defensive system an great players going forward. Given the same players and money to spend Klopp would of probably done the same.

{Ed002's Note - No, MP is not "world class" either.}
