Ed 001 sorry if you have answered this before but was curious as to who you think the best player in the world is? Top 3 actually. Curious to know who you prefer between Ronaldo and Messi.

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on how you view it. Ronaldo is the best individual player in the world. Messi is the best team player in the world. Third best is a difficult one, but at his best it is probably Luis Suarez.}

I always think attackers get far too much credit in comparison to their defensive counterparts. As an example Juventus have, say Dybala, up front, and he is immense. But they also have Buffon between the sticks, a monster who surely earns them close, if not more, to the points Dybala does. I think 'best' is skewed in favour of attacking talent for obvious reasons i. e. attention-grabbing, headline stuff, entertaining. But actually looking at it i'm not sure it is justified - for me I'd go for Titus Bramble: good in the air, good on the ground (so long as he doesn't actually have the ball), strong, fearless (some would say reckless but to hell with the naysayers), can pick a 3 yard pass, is impervious to any criticisms around him including his own players simply advising him to pass) - surely a hall of famer?

Seriously though defenders are criminally overlooked - someone like Ronaldo couldn't be as successful without the players behind him doing the defensive graft, they deserve just as much recognition.

In my humble opinion forget everything else if you're going to build a player from scratch it would end up being close to Ronaldo. he is simply a physical specimen!

Original Ronaldo most exciting I've seen and cafu was the best player I've ever seen.

Messi hands down both individual and team player. He is one of a kind. Ronaldo comes second and Suarez third!

There was no doubting Suarez talent on the pitch but I just find it hard to think of him as a hero, as a player I will always rate god as a better player and finisher.
