Hi Edds, just a question, if the stance from Redbull is Naby Keita, is not for sale why do Liverpool keep on bidding? I find it strange for a club to keep bidding for a player that is deemed not for sale. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in.

{Ed025's Note - imo yan liverpool must believe they have a good chance to sign him or why else would they spend so much time and effort on chasing him?..

Yan you are spot on mate with your thoughts. I have said that also on here, they won't sell him and we have hardly anytime to look elsewere. When Macca said he beleives Keita will sign, he was obviously expecting Rbl to cave in with our final bid! They didn't and they have good stubborn owners.

I've said this before, our owners cannot win.
If we give up on the managers first choice and sign the second choice they get slated.
If they relentlessly pursue the first choice - they get slated.

We need to wind our necks in and stop panicking over the signing of one player.
We have a good squad, it is constantly developing, don't worry about new signings.

Its ridiculous just how we fail to differentiate Football manager and actual life events Ron.

Finally some sense! Ron and Ore, well said. Some people need to take some time out from here and go back to your bedrooms to play some Football Manager or whatever football games makes you think in these embarrassing ways! It's getting painful even coming on here now!

Why would the club chase a player they believe they couldn't sign!

That is the part I don't get, Harry. RBL will not sell. In fact, before the season ended, RBL had said publicly that none of their players would be for sale at any price and they mentioned that specifically PL teams need not apply. They are making good on their stance yet here we are barking up the wrong tree. Why we go after players who either are not interested in coming here or whose clubs won't sell at any price, I will never know.
