How many times did we reject Man City's bids for Sterling until we got what we wanted? Why shouldn't RBL do the same? Can't believe people saying we should give up now. I still think it will happen. Just need to reach a figure both are happy with, it's called negotiation for a reason.

This isn't a bunch of ruthless supplement salesmen trying to push cod liver oil on 90 year olds.

Its Liverpool FC, notorious for their poor transfer negotiation skills.

3 times in the last year we have faced disciplinary action for breaking rules, what makes you think we will succeed in negotiating with somebody that clearly doesn't want to sell?

To me it seems we have more chance of having a bid for the Queen's knickers accepted now.

Cue media frenzy of Liverpool tapping up Her Maj's chief knicker fluffer.

Reminds me of Alan Partridge trying to negotiate a new contract for his voice over videos.

Lady: Alan, I am simply not negotiating on your fee
Alan: Well I am
Lady: Well you'll be negotiating on your own
Alan: So be it!
Lady: well that doesn't work
Alan (shrugs)

😁 Liverpool are negotiating with someone who is not going to sell. Like the definition of insanity.
