We still need 3 players IMO. A quality centre back that doesn't cost 30 plus million never mind 60, a quality left back and a top class midfielder. Those positions need seriously strengthened if we want to actually compete next season.

Who's this quality centre back that costs less than £30m? I completely agree on positions though, if a top class forward became available such as Mbappe or Auba I think they would be quality additions too but otherwise those three positions are a must or we'll face similar defensive problems next year.

We practically have signed a top class midfielder (providing he stays, fingers crossed) . The signing of Salah will mean that Coutinho will have to play in midfield. To me that is just as good as signing a top midfielder.

Very difficult to find top quality on the cheap but Liverpool have done it before such as Coutinho, Hyypia, Suarez (cheap enough considering) . It certainly can be done. The only difference is Liverpool usually offset that good work by buying Benteke, Carroll etc etc.

I agree with your positions but not your logic. Why does a quality CB have to cost under 30 million? Would a player of that caliber even be an upgrade on what we already have?

Because I'm sick of these ludicrous prices mate this window. It's actually infuriating yet the fans justify just about any madness. Why not pay 80 million, hell why not even 100 million for van dijk or a centre back like him?
