A former BBC journalist, Ben smith has said our transfer activity should start to gather momentum next week. The eds have any idea IF this is true?

Like he would no anything. I think he is meaning ed we will look at monitor or bid for players. Seens as its Transfer Window I could have had the same stab in the dark as this guy who clearly gets paid much more than me.

Brillant reply Ed002.the only momentum that could happen in actual fact is the series of steps players will be taking in their pre-season training. there's no momentum as far as transfer activity is concerned.

If Salah wasn't even a target initially then I think we should take it as a positive for the scouting process that they were able to pull a really good alternative out of the bag when the main target failed.

Out of curiosity, who was the second target behind Brandy- because I don't remember another name being discussed?
