If we do end up with Robertson I'm actually glad because he will prove a lot of you on this wrong, half the people slating him think they could do a better position themselves, if he does sign watch klopp turn him into one of the best attacking full backs in the league!

Gibbs or Robertson? Robertson wins hands down.

He's certainly got more potential than Gibbs.

zaha torn him to pieces in 45 mins so much so he was subbed.

Little bit fed up with us signing " potential " we've not had a decent lb for donkeys now. Would love to see us sign an experienced, established lb. Are there any?

I wish we'd just have used a bit of sense and gone all out for Kolasinac, Bertrand or Hector. Instead we will either sign a failed European winger like Mendy/ Gaya, or an above average player with potential to be good such as Tierney, Sessegnon or Robertson. Pretty obvious which only one of those 3 is still on the cards.

I quite like this lad Robertson. At least he can defend.

{Ed001's Note - do you really think so? I am not convinced he can at all.}

Not my first preference, but I definitely think he can defend better than Moreno.

{Ed001's Note - that's really not a high bar to aim at. Moreno has never learnt the basics of defending at all.}

Irony is Moreno has more suitors than Sakho, Lucas, Stewart, and every fringe player at the club!
His pace will be brutal in Italy. He is very young and I could see him blocking a proper left back at Napoli!

{Ed001's Note - how is that irony?}

Coz we all throught none would even touch Moreno! And it would be another Jose Enrique version 2.0.

{Ed001's Note - you may have thought that, but I did make everyone aware there was interest, it was purely the price that was an issue. Moreno has a great attitude, workrate and is very well liked by coaches that have worked with him. There will always be teams that have interest in a player like that, even if they lack quality.}

Robertson is just not a very good defender and i can't believe in the whole footballing fraternity that we can't find and sign a half decent left back. I don't know how old robertson is but surely he should not need much coaching at this stage to be first choice at lfc. But ed25 pointed out the other day not all the players in your team has to be the next big thing and just solid dependability is enough. So maybe klopp thinks robertson is enough!

Using Moreno as a comparison for the LB position is as poor a comparison as using Migs to compare as a standard for GK's. hence, the bafris low to non-existent.

No one ever said that Moreno lacked interest from other clubs as Sevilla and Napoli both want him, as Ed01 had mentioned. He is a very good lad off the pitch and his coaches may like his attitude but he is just not intelligent enough to play football or get better at the things he lacks in his game. That is just the reality.
