If anything, we can give Flanagan a chance to revive his career as a RB at Anfield. The one thing you will get from this player is guts and glory.

Plus he will put in a proper tackle without shying out. Another player which I believe we gave up to soon on is Martin Kelly. Sure both players have had injury after but the club has had no patients with them.

Youngsters get thrown aside far to quickly without being given a proper run for their money.

Problem is that the injuries have taken too much of a toll on him physically and taken too much of his pace away to be an effective fullback at the top level. That's cold hard fact and regrettably there's no room for sentimentality. I'd love him to be able to stake a claim, but realistically I cannot see it happening.

Guts and glory will only get you so far. Loved his attitude but he is not answer and don't think he ever would have been.

That will not happen, flannagan would be well down the pecking order now. So it's best for him to move on and get a team he is first choice. If he get a year or 2 under his belt and somehow get to top level I think we would then be more than happy to welcome him back at any price. His passion and love for Liverpool would be priceless.

Red tinted glasses I'm afraid Max, he's clearly shown this year that he isn't good enough for our level. How about Andre Wisdom too?

Sentiment is all well and good but don't let it cloud your judgement on quality.

Love Flanno, but I think it is over for him here.

It breaks my heart but Flanno's time has gone and those injuries he suffered have devastated him and his ability. Can he come back? Of course. I thought Falcao was finished after his injuries set him back 2 years and now look at him. Good luck to the lad as I will always love him and that spectacular goal at Spurs will always remain with me.
